October 30, 1997 3 2.2 Dewar T emperature The de war now has a tempera ture sensor and heater . For nor mal ope ration, the tempe rature controlle r should be used to set the detector temper ature to 80.0K. If the controller is not used, drifts can occur as the telesc ope is mov ed, re sulting in dark curr ent instabilitie s in the arra y .
