13 CHAPTER 3 Managing Units Introduction The Emerge TM D M2000 Desktop Manag er (Management Appl iance) is use d to manage net works of ECMS Receivers and ECMS Transmitters (units). Using the Management Appliance, an administrator can add units, view and edit unit properties and initiate a v ariety of other opera tions.

All discovered devices are assi gned to a pool of transmitters. When a user logs in at a receiver that user will co nnect to the transmitter that has been assigned to them.
