9 EN C ONNECTION CONNECTION ENGLISH Basic C onnection This section describes how to connect the unit to an antenna, cable box, etc. Note: • Be sure your antenna or other device is connected properly before plugging in the power c ord.
10 EN C ONNECTION Exte rn a l De vi c e C on ne cti on [C omponent V ideo Cable Connection] Component video connection offers better picture quality for video devic es connected to the unit. Use a component video cable to connect the unit to external video devices equipped with component video output jacks.
11 EN CONNECTION ENGLISH [Video Connection] Video connection offers standar d pic ture quality for video devices c onnected to the unit. If you connect to the unit’ s video input jack, connec t RCA audio cables to the audio L/R jacks of INPUT1.
12 EN I NITIAL SETTING Initial Setup This section will guide you through the unit’ s initial setting which includes selecting a language for your on-screen menu and “ AUT O PRESET CH” , which automatically scans and memorizes viewable channels .

14 EN I NITIAL SETTING Note: • I f you connect the c able system directly, contact the CA T V installer . • I f you press [PO WER] or [MENU] during auto channel scan, the setting will be canceled . • W hen no channel can be r eceived by auto channel scan, “NO T V SIGNALS” will be displayed on the TV screen.
15 EN W ATCHING TV WATCHING TV ENGLISH Channel Selec tion Select channels by pressing [CH / ] or [the Number buttons] . • T o select the memorized channels, use [CH / ] or [the Number buttons] . • T o select the non-memorized channels use [the Number buttons] .
16 EN W ATCHING TV S witching Each Mode Y ou can easily switch with the remote control to the D T V (A TSC) and TV (NTSC) or to access an external device when they are connected to the unit. 1 Press [INPUT] repeatedly to cycle through analog T V , digital T V , INPUT1 and INPUT2.
17 EN WATCHING TV ENGLISH Screen Information Y ou can display the currently selected channel or other information such as the audio mode on the TV screen. Press [VIE W MODE] repeat edly to switch the T V aspect ratio. VIEW MODE ZOOM LET TERBOX [LET TERBO X] Display the digital-suppor ted program in full-scr een.
19 EN O PTIONAL SETTING OPTIONAL SETTING ENGLISH Channel Add/Delete The channel add/delete function lets you add the channel that w as not added by the auto channel scan due to the reception sta tus at the initial setting. Y ou can also delete the unnecessary channels.
20 EN O PTIONAL SETTING Picture Adjustment Y ou can adjust brightness, contrast, color , tint and sharpness. 1 Press [MENU] to display the main menu. MENU 2 Use [C ursor K / L ] to selec t “PIC TURE” , then press [ENTER] .
