Installation and Operation Manual 1 Remote Control Panels have the same buttons as the front panels of their matching multiplexers. They can also be used with some older multiplexers even though some button names do not match. The panels allow locating a duplicate set of controls up to 1,000 feet from the multiplexer.

Installation and Operation Manual 3 INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL PANEL The Remote Control Panel comes with everything you need for desktop or rack mount use. CAU TIO N: Disconnect power from the multiplexer before attaching the local-end adapter to the multiplexer remote connector.
4 Remote Control Panel NOTE: Do not use devices without a direct ground connec- tion between the remote panel and local-end adapter ground pins. NOTE: The LED on the local-end adapter is not a power indicator. It lights when the local-end adapter is active.
