2 Defining a GS1 DataBar ™ (RSS) Symbology The GS1 DataBa r is a family of linear symb ologies. De pending on the bar code data en tered, th e bar code may appear as a 2D bar code stacked on top of the linea r bar code. 8 Using Internatio nal Fonts Version 6.0 or greate r (9855/98 60) and versi on 3.0 or greater (9825 ) have a new font rasterizer, which allows for an addition al symbol s et (110 – Unicode UT F-8). To use this symbo l set, you must downlo ad an Internationa l TrueType font.
9 The printe r automati cally translates som e character mappings to othe rs. For example, if you need a BIG 5 font, it is possible to use Unicod e text da ta. Use Unicode in the symbo l set parameter to indica te the text mappin g and select the BIG5 font needed in the font pa rameter (T8 or C5).

11 Setting the Numeric Format Use the new menu item in the Setup, Defa ults menu to select h ow numeric values appear in your printed data. With symbol set 110 (Uni code UTF-8), data sent to the pr inter can be in mixed format (Latin a nd Arabic cha racters).
