8 Adjusting the p ick-up pattern (cardioid/super-cardioid) The 965 offers the possibi lity to ad just the pick-up p attern to fit the application. Cardioid i s the most c ommonly used pick-up pattern for live P A applications. It provi des good on-stage freedo m and also picks up sound from the sides .
9 Select the pick-up pattern according to the number and position of your mo nitor loudspeakers. Adjusting the sensitivity When very high signal l evels cause distortion in the microphone or in the subsequent mi crophone preamplifier, you can reduce the microphone sensitivity.
