6 Compliance A C P ower Cord f or the United Kingdom : This cord is already fitted with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of which is indicated on the pin face of the plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced, an ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse must be used of the same rating, marked thus .
7 NO TE ON THE PO WER CORD AC Power Cord must meet requirement of the country where you use a projector. Confirm an AC plug type with the chart below and proper AC Power Cord must be used. If supplied AC Power Cord does not match your AC outlet, contact your sales dealer.
8 Feature and Design This Multimedia Projector is designed with the most advanced technology for portability, durability, and ease of use. This projector utilizes built-in multimedia features, a palette of 16.77 million colors, and matrix liquid crystal display (LCD) technology.

10 Part Names and Functions Bottom Back CAUTION Hot air is exhausted from the exhaust vents. When using or installing the projector, the following precautions should be taken. ● Do not put any flammable objects near these vents. ● Keep front grills at least 3’(1m) away from any objects, especially heat-sensitive objects.

14 Part Names and Functions To insure safe operation, please observe the following precautions: ● Use (2) AA, UM3 or R06 type alkaline batteries. ● Replace two batteries at the same time. ● Do not use a new battery with a used battery. ● Avoid contact with water or liquid.
15 Installation P ositioning the Pr ojector Tilting the Pr ojector Picture tilt and projection angle can be adjusted by rotating the Adjustable feet. Projection angle can be adjusted up to 11.8 degrees with the Adjustable feet. Lift the front of the projector and pull the Feet lock latches on both sides of the projector.
16 Installation The Projection lens can be moved up and down with manual lens shift function. This function makes it easy to provide a projected image where you want.

19 T urning On the Pr ojector Connect the projector's AC Power Cord into an AC outlet, and open the front cover. Turn the MAIN ON/OFF switch on. The LAMP indicator lights red, and the READY indicator lights green. The READY indicator does not light green with the front cover closed.
20 Basic Operation Zoom Adjustment Focus Adjustment Move the ZOOM LEVER upward to make the image larger. Move the ZOOM LEVER downward to make the image smaller.

30 Video Input This projector has a picture screen resize function, which enables you to display the desirable image size. NOTE : The Screen Size Adjustment cannot be operated when “ 720p, ” “ 1035i, ” or “ 1080i ” is selected in the Video System Selection menu (p26).

32 Computer Input This projector automatically tunes to most different types of computers based on VGA, SVGA, XGA, or SXGA in most cases (refer to “ Compatible Computer System ” on the next page). When selecting Computer, this projector automatically tunes to incoming signal and projects proper image without any special setting.

34 Computer Input Computer Adjustment (A uto) (Menu Operation) Auto PC Adjustment function is provided to automatically adjust Fine sync, Total dots, Horizontal, and Vertical to conform to your computer. Auto PC Adjustment function can be operated as follows.
35 Computer Input Computer Adjustment (Manual) This projector can automatically tune to the display signals from most personal computers currently distributed. However, some computers employ special signal formats which are different from the standard ones and may not be tuned by Multi- Scan system of this projector.
36 Computer Input To store adjustment data. To clear adjustment data. Choose one of the positions from the Mode 1 to 5 where you want to store with the POINT UP/DOWN button, and press the SELECT button. Select "Yes" with the SELECT button and close the menu by pressing the SELECT button at the Quit.

41 Computer Input This projector has a picture screen resize function, which enables you to display the desirable image size. When Digital zoom is selected, the on-screen menu disappears and the message “ D.Zoom ” is displayed. Press the SELECT button to expand the image.
42 SETTING Keystone When the image is distorted vertically, select the Keystone. The on- screen menu disappears and the Keystone dialog box is displayed. Correct keystone distortion by pressing the POINT UP/DOWN button. Refer to Keystone Adjustment on page 21.
43 Setting This function turns the Projection lamp off when this projector detects signal interruption and is not used for a certain period in order to reduce power consumption and maintain the lamp lifetime. (This projector is shipped with this function ON.
44 Appendix Lamp Replacement When the life of the projection lamp draws to an end, the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow. When this indicator lights yellow, replace the projection lamp with a new one promptly. ORDER REPLA CEMENT LAMP Replacement Lamp can be ordered through your dealer.
45 Appendix Lamp Replace Counter Be sure to reset the Lamp Replace Counter after the Lamp assembly is replaced. After the Lamp Replace Counter is reset, the LAMP REPLACE indicator stops lighting. NOTE : Do not reset the Lamp Replace Counter before the Projection lamp is replaced.
46 Appendix Cleaning the Pr ojection Lens Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cleaning cloth. Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch a surface. When the projector is not in use, close the front cover.
47 Appendix Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the following: • Make sure you have connected the projector to video equipment or your computer as described on page 17 and 18. • Check cable connection. Verify that all video, computer, and power cord are properly connected.
