-15- ERROR SIGNS CD Player If a problem s hould occ ur while operat ing the built-in CD player, one of the followi ng error signs may be displayed : Abnormal mechanism function. Internal connection check error. Turn the power off and then on again. If it is not corrected, contact the place of purchase.

-17- HINTS FOR PROPER AND SAFE OPERATION • Condensation Moisture can condense on the optical lens of the CD player during humid or rainy days, or after the car heater is turned on . If this occurs the disc player may not function properl y. To remedy the situation, remove the disc from the unit and wait approximately one hour.
-18- TROUBL ESHOOTING Sometimes a simple operational error or a mistake in the wirin g can appear to be a problem with the unit. Before having the unit serviced, refer to the troubleshooting chart below. Symptom Cause Solution The compact disc does not play when inserted into the unit.
-19- ACCESSORIES AND HARDWARE INSTALLATION 1. BEFORE INSTALLATION When mounting the unit in a car, keep the unit as level as possible. If the unit must be m ounted at an angle, due to the design of the vehicle, make sure t he unit does not tilt by more than 30 ° .
-20- 2. ISO MOUNTING WITH REMOVABLE TRIM RING When mounting the unit into a DIN-st andard cutout (182 × 5 3 mm ) in the dashboard or console, attach the provided Removable Trim Ring to the unit. 3. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES 1. Insert the mount ing bracket into the DIN-standard cutout (182 × 5 3 mm) in the dashboard or con sole.
-21- 4. Installa tion to TOYOTA/NI SSAN Vehicle s Install the unit using the existing TOYOTA/NI SSAN Mounting Bracket and Screws. Use mounting holes in the unit chassis. "T" or "N" i s engr aved next to each mounting hole. Use "T" holes for Toyota vehicles and "N" holes for Nissan vehicles.
-22- UNIT REMOVAL 1. Remov e the front panel by pressing the release knob . 2. Inse rt the unlock levers into the slots as illustrated. 3. Slide down ke ys outward and pul l to r emove the audio unit. 2 3 3 3 2 A UDIO UNIT UNLOCK LEVERS The jagged side of the key should face outward.
-23- ELECTRICA L CONNECTIONS 1 Antenna socket • Insert the plug from the an tenna installed in your vehicle into this socket. (If your vehicl e has a dual antenna system, a dual antenna to single antenna cable adaptor may be required.
-24- LINE OUT CONNECTI ONS • The unit has a line output terminals. You can use a s eparate amplifier to upgrade your sys tem . RCA Line-out Jacks (For Speakers) • Connect a patch cable (not supplied) from the White (lef t channel) and Red (right channel) RCA line output jacks to the line input terminals of the external amplifier.
