To install your CD -R/RW Drive in t he PC, proceed as follows. Installing the CD-R/RW Drive Make sure th at the PC is po wered off and disconnected fr om any powe r source.
When using one E-IDE cabl e Connect the cable to the SL (Sl ave) of the Master/Slav e Select Termin al at the rear of the CD-R/RW drive. a : Slave Dri ve (Choos e the SL Ju mper) b : Hard Drive c : MainBoa rd When using two E-ID E cable If there is only one CD-R/RW dri ve, select MA (Master).
Co nnect a jumper to the rear side of the CD-R/RW. If the jumper is connected to MA (Master), it will work in the Master mode. If the ju mper is connec ted to SL (Slav e), it wil l work in the Sl ave mode. If the jumper i s connected t o CS (CSEL), you can control t he device by us ing the host interface s ignal CSEL.
When Setup is succ essfully completed, click OK button or press th e Enter key. Reboot th e computer . Manual Setup Make the C:S AMSUNG directory. Copy the f iles from th e diskett e to the C:SAMSUNG directory. To do so, typ e COPY D:Ddriver * . * C:SAMSUNG after the C: prompt and press [ Enter ].
