Get Started 2 2. Plug the USB end of the USB cable into the Charging Head, and t hen p lug the Charging Head into an electrical outlet to charge your battery. Fully charging a battery m ay take up to three hours. Note: Your device ’s battery should have enough charge for the device to turn on and find a signal , and set up the device.
Get Started 3 If your device is activated, it will turn on, search for Sprint ser vice, and begin the setup application. If your device is not yet activated, see Activate Your Device for more infor mation.

Device Basics 10 Turn Your Scre en O n and Off Your device allows you to quickly turn the screen off when not in use and to turn it back on and unlock it when you need it. Turn the Screen Off When Not in Use ► To quickly turn the screen off, press the Power/Lock button.
Device Basics 11 Touch and Hold To open the available options for an item (for example, a contact or link in a Web pa ge), touch and hold the item. Slide To slide means to quickly drag your finger across the screen (for example, when entering text with Swype or drawing on the screen).
Device Basics 12 Drag To drag, touch and hold your finger with some pressure before you start to mov e your finger. While dragging, do not release your finger until you hav e reached the target position. Flick Flicking the screen is similar to swiping, except that you need to swipe your finger in light, quick strokes.
Device Basics 13 Rotate For most screens, you can automatically change the screen by turning the device sid ew ays. When entering text, you can turn the device sideways to bring up a bigger keyboard.

Device Basics 15 Adding and Removing Widgets Extended Home Screens Recently Used Applications Mini App Tray Note : You can keep swiping in one direction to cycle through all home screens. The small dots at the top of the screen let you know your current position.
Device Basics 16 4. Touch and hold the application icon. This creates an immediate shortcut of the selected icon and closes the Applications tab. 5. While still holding the onscreen icon, position it on the curr ent page. Once comple te, release the screen to lock the new shortcut into its new position on the current screen.

Settings 41 Storage Sett i ngs You can manage the information and configuration related to both your microSD card and built - in device storage memory. You can choose to store items either in the built - in device storage memory or in the optional microSD card.
Settings 42 SD Card Your device lets you use a micr oSD (also referred to as a memory card) to expand available memory space. This section provides information about mounting, unmounting and formatting it. ► Press and tap > > Storage . Total Space Total space indicates the total size of the currently inserted m icroSD card.
Settings 43 Once completely formatted, the card is automatically re - mounted (reconnected for use by the device ). The formatting procedure erases all the data on the m icroSD card, after which the files CANNOT be retrieved. Sound feedback : allow you to enable sound feedback when you touch the screen. Sound volume : allows you to customize the volume return based upon the volume of your voice.
Settings 60 Allow Mock Locations If you are a developer who is testing a GPS applications using this device, you can use mock locations to tell the device that the device is at different GPS locations. In other words, the device is allowed to “mock” the coordinates.
