If the screen is not vertical, the picture on the screen may not appear rectan gular.
2-3 Installation and Connection 2-3 Leveling with Adjustable Feet The projector can be adjuste d to a height of up to 30 mm (about 12 °) from the reference point. Depending on the position of the proj ector, Keystone distortion of the image may appear.

If you do not install your projector at the projection distance sp ecified in the Screen Size and Projectio n Distance table on the next page, you will not be able to adjus t the focus correctly.

2-6 Installation and Connection 2-6 Lamp Replacement Cautions on Lamp Replacement • The projector lamp is an expendable item. For best operating performance, replace the lamp accordin g to the usage time. You can view the lamp usage time in the Informatio n Display (INFO button).

Replacing and Cleaning the Filter Precautions when replacing the proje ctor filter: • The filter is located at the bottom of the projector.

2-8 Installation and Connection 2-8 Setting up the PC Environment Check the following items before connecting your PC to your projector. 1. Click the right mouse button on the Windows desktop , and then click [Properties]. The <Display Pro perties> dialog appears.

Installation and Connection 2-9 For the resolutions presented above, if a signal with a resolution lower or highe r than 1024x768 is input, it is converted to 1024x768 by the Sca ler chip inside the projector. When the real resolution (1024 x768) of the pro jector and the PC outpu t resolution are the same, the screen quality is optimal.

Using 3-4 Clearing Indicator Problems This Projector uses a cooling fan system to keep the unit from over heating. Operatio n of the cooling fan may cause noise, which does not affect product perform ance and is part of normal operation.
