Major Safety Precautions 1-3 Caution Installation Related Warning Make sure to connect the power cord to a grounded wall outlet (for insulation class 1 equipment only). • Otherwise, it may result in electric shock or injury. When unplugging the powe r plug from the wall outlet, make su re to hold the power plug by the plug and not by the co rd.

If the screen is not vertical, the picture on the screen may not appear rectan gular.

2-4 Installation and Connection 2-4 Zoom and Focus Adjustment The size of your screen determines the distan ce you set your projector from the screen. If you do not install your projector at the projection distance sp ecified in the Screen Size and Projection D istance table in Section 2-5, you will not be able to adjust th e focus correctly.

2-8 Installation and Connection All resolutions higher o r lower than 102 4x768 are convert ed to 1024 x768 by the Scaler chip inside the proj ector. If the resolution of th e signal output by the PC matche s the real reso lution (1024x768) of the proj ector, the screen qual ity is optimal.

Installation and Connection 2-10 2-10 Connecting with a PC and Setting up the PC 2-10-1. Setting up the PC Environment Check the following items before connecting your PC to your projector. 1. Click the right mouse button on the Windows desktop , and then click [Properties].

Connect the [HDMI/DVI IN] terminal of the projector to the HDMI or DVI terminal of your PC using a HDMI/HDMI or HDMI/DVI cable (Not supplied) .

Connecting to a Dy namic IP (DHCP) Network You can atta ch the projector to your network through a modem that uses DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Proto col).

3-3 Using 3-3 Remote Control • Using your projector with another remote control device nearby may result in improper fu nctioning due to remo te control code (frequency) interference. • Make sure to place your remote control on a table or desk. If you step on the re mote control, you may fall and hurt yourself or damage the remote.

3-3 Using Installing Batteries in the Remote Control SP-F10 SP-F10M 1. Lift the cover at the back of the remote control upward as shown in the figure. 2. Insert two AAA size batteries. 3. Close the cover. INFO Button Use to chec k source signals , picture setup, PC screen adjustment, and LED runtime.
Using 3-4 3-4 LED Indications LED Indications :Light is On :Light is Blinking :Light is Off STATUS LED STAND BY STATUS Power has been supplied properly. To operate the projector, press the [POWER] button on the projector or remo te control and wai t for around 3 0 sec- onds.
3-4 Using Clearing Indicator Problems This Projector uses a cooling fan system to keep the unit from over heating. Operat ion of the cooling fa n may produce noise, This does not affect product performance and is part of normal operation. CLASSIFICA TION STATE MEASURES Action 1 The cooling fan system is not operating normally.
Using 3-5 3-5 Using the Screen Adjustment Menu (OSD: On Screen Display) The Screen Adjustment Menu (OSD : On Screen Display) Structure To access the Menu, press the Menu button on the produ ct or on the remote. To move in the me nu, press the arrow buttons.
3-5 Using MENU DESCRIPTION Mode Select a screen mode to match the environment, th e kind of images you are projecting, or select a customized mode you have creat ed based on your requirements. <Mode> • <Dynamic> : Selects the picture for incr e ased definition in a bright room.
Using 3-5 Position Using this function, you can adjust the screen posit ion if it is not aligned. To adjust, select th e direction you want to move the screen, and then press the arrow bu tton pointing in that direction repeatedly. This function does not work in <Me dia Play> mode.
3-5 Using 3-5-3. Setup Zoom You can magnify the screen to a size you want. • <x1> - <x2> - <x4> - <x8> This function is only enabled when the in put signal is a PC Timing (D-Sub/HDMI) signal.
Using 3-5 Test Pattern A default test pattern built into the projector. Y ou can use it as a referenc e picture to optimize the installation of the p rojec tor and to optimize images. • <Crosshatch> : You can check whether the picture is distorted or not.
3-5 Using Network By connecting a LAN cable betwe en the PC a nd projector, you can use the following supple mentary functions on your PC. On your PC, you can check the projector's conditions (LED runtime, opera tion error,temperatur e) and remotely control the projector's power On/Off, brightness, and sound On/Off.
Using 3-5 3-5-4. Option MENU DESCRIPTION Language Using this function, you can sele ct the language used for the menu screen. Menu Option • <Position> : You can move Menu Position up/down/left/right. • <Transparency> : You can set the translucency of the menu.
3-6 Using 3-6 Network Management 3-6-1. Management using the Web Browser The Web Browser let s you monitor and control one projecto r from a PC without installin g any software. Before you can use the W eb Browser , you must connect your pro jector to your local area network.
Using 3-6 3-6-2. Projector Manage ment using PC Software You can mo nitor and control more than one projector u sing Samsung Projector Manage r. When installing or using Samsung Pro jector Manage r in PC, you must log in as Administrator. If you log in using your personal login, that login must have full administrato r privileges.
3-6 Using • To browse projectors conne cted to the PC automa tically, press < Tools > → < Auto Search > • To group or directly register the pr ojectors, select < List> → <Projector >, right-click over < Network Projector > under < Projector List >, and then select < Add Projector >.
Using 3-6 • Projector Management • You can check a pro jector's LED runtime, te mperature, operatio n, errors, etc in rea l time. : You can view a projector's Name, IP Address, Grou p, Power On/Off status, LED runtime, operation errors (represented by icons), etc.
3-6 Using • Manag ing the Projectors : Using the icons in the <Projector List> (only applicab le to 'V'-marked proje ctors in the monitoring window) (Refresh): Updates the status of the projector. (Power On): Turns on the power of the projector.
Using 3-6 : Connecting the Web browser from Samsung Projector Mana ger By connecting to the Web Browser in Samsung Projector Ma nager, you can use more diverse functions. To perform the Web browser connection, select a Projector to connect to, and then right-click to select <WebControl>.
3-6 Using • Using the <Schedule> Function Using the <Sched ule> function , you can manage yo ur projectors mor e efficiently. If you select < List > → < Schedule >, the following win dow appears. The screen has four buttons: • <New>: Adds a projector to make a Schedule for.

Sound is not available for non-su pported formats such as AC3, etc. Convert the audio fo rmat into a supported format using a video converter.
