22 1. Introduction Installing the driver locally A locally connected machine is a machin e directly attached to your computer using the cable. If your machine is attached to a network, skip the following steps below and go on to installing a n etwork connected machine’s driver (see Advanced Guide).
23 1. Introduction Reinstalling the driver If the printer driver does not work properly, follow the steps below to reinstall the driver. 13 Windows 1 From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs > Samsung Printers > Uninstall Samsung Printer Software .

Such repairs are not covered by Samsung ’s warranty or service agreements.

43 3. Maintenance Storing the toner cartridge Toner cartridges contain components that are sensitive to light, temperature and humid ity. Samsung suggests users follow these recommendations to ensure optimal performance, highest qual ity, and longest life from your new Samsung toner cartridge.

Maintenance 1 Handling instructions • Do not touch the surface of the phot oconductive drum in the cartridge. • Do not expose the cartridge to unnecessary vibrations or shock. • Never manually rotate the drum, especial ly in the reverse direction; this can cause internal damage and toner spillage.

Maintenance Redistributing toner When the toner cartridge is near the end of its life: • White streaks or light printing occurs and/or density variat ion side to side. • The Toner LED blinks or ange. If this happens, you can temporari ly improve print quality by redistributing the remaining tone r in the cartridge.
