8 OVERFLOW PROTECTIONS Our Avanti dishwasher has an overfill prot ection device which could automatic ally shut off the inlet valve and start the drain pump if the wat er overflow. If this oc curs, turn off the main water supply bef ore calling a servicer.

3 IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION ¾ Before Installation • IMPORTANT – Observe al l governing codes and ordinan ce s. • NOTE TO INSTALLER – Be sure to leave these instructions for t he co nsumers and local inspectors use.
4 ¾ Parts Supplied Two #8 Philips flat head wood screws, 5/8” long to secu re dishwasher to underside of countertop or to side of cabinetry. (Ta p ed to top or side of dishwasher.
5 ¾ Prepare Dish washer Enclosure • The rough cabinet opening must be at le ast 24” deep, 18” wide and app roximately 34½” high from floor to underside of the countertop. • The dishwasher m ust be installed so that drai n hose is no more t han 10 feet in length for proper drainage.
6 ¾ Prepare Hot Water Line • The line may enter from either side, rear or floor within the shaded area shown in figure. • The line may pass through the same hole as t he electrical cable and drai n hose. Or, cut an additional 1½” dia. Hole to accommodate the water line.
7 • Connect to a grounde d metal, permanent wi ring system, or run an equ ipment-grounding conductor with the circuit conducto rs and conn ect to the equipment-groun ding terminal or lead of the appliance. • Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your dishwasher unless it is specifically recommended in this manual.
8 ¾ Position Water Line And House Wirin g Position water supply line and house wiring on the floor of the opening to avoid interference with base of dishwasher a nd co mponents under dish washer. ¾ Insert Drain Hose Through Cabinet Upright the dish washer and po si tion in front of the opening.
9 ¾ Push Dishwasher Into Final Position The dishwasher must be secu red to the countertop or the cabinet sides. • Check to be sure that wires are secured under the di shwa sher and not pinched or in contact with door spri ngs or other dishwash er components.
10 ¾ Connect Power Supply • Remove junction box cover. • Secure house wiring to the bac k of the junction box with a strain relief. • Locate the three dishwasher wires, (white, black and green) with stripped e nds. Insert dishwasher wires through the small hole in the junction box.
