7 G et star ted First steps to operating your phone USIM/SIM ca rd information When you subscribe to a cellular network, y ou receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscription details, such as your PIN, and available opti onal services.
Ge t started 8 Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery level becomes too low, the phone automatically turns off . Recharge your battery .
Get started 9 Power on or off Keys and display Keys Switch on Do not turn on the phone when mobile phone use is proh ibited. 1. Open the phone. 2. Press and ho ld [ ]. 3. If necessary , enter the PIN and press < Confirm >. Switch off 1. Open the phone.

Get started 13 Access menu functio ns Use the soft keys The roles of the soft keys v ary depending on the function you are using. The bottom line of the display indicates their curre nt role. Press the left soft key to select the highlighted option. Press th e right soft key to return to the previous menu level.

31 Enter text ABC, T9, Number, and Symbol mo des Y ou can enter text for some feature s such as Messages, Contacts , or Organiser , using ABC mode, T9 mode, Number mode, and Symbol mode. Changing the text input mode • Press and hold [ ] to switch between T9 ( ) and ABC ( ) modes.

34 Call functions Advanced calling features Making a call 1. In Idle mode, enter t he area code and phone number . 2. Press [ ]. 3. When you w ant to end the call, press [ ]. Making an international call 1. In Idle mode, press a nd hold [ 0 ]. The + character a ppears.
Call functions 35 3. Press < Call > or [ ] to mak e a voice call, or < V-Call > to mak e a video call. Answerin g a call When you receive an incoming call, the phone rings and displays the incoming call image. Press < Accept > or [ ] to answer the call.
Call functions 36 Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions during a call. Adjusting the volume during a call Use [ / ] to adjust the earpiece volume during a call. Press [ ] to increase the volume level a nd press [ ] to decrease the volume level.
Call functions 37 Using the speakerphone feature Use the phone as a speakerphone to talk and listen with the phone a short distance awa y . Press [ ] and then < Yes > to activate the speakerphone feature. Press [ ] again to switch back to the earpiece.

Call functions 39 Answering a video call When you receive a video call, answer a video call as receiving a voice call. Press < Show me > to allow the caller to see you.
40 • Send DT MF : send Dual tone multi- frequency (DTM F) tones as a group after entering the entire number you need to send or retrieving a number from Contacts. • Video quality : change the image quality of the camera. • End call : disconnect the video call.

Using call log options While viewing call details, press < Options > to access the following options: • Voice call : make a voice call to the number .
