7 Ge t s t a rt e d First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.
8 G et starte d Low battery indicator When the battery is low : • a warning tone sounds, • the low battery message displays, and • the empty battery icon bl inks. If the battery lev el becomes too lo w , the phone automatically turns off . Recharge y our battery .
9 Ge t s t a r t e d Offline mode Y ou ca n switch the phone to Offline mode, in which the phone functions requiring net work connection are deactivated. This mode is helpful when yo u want to use your phone in a place where you are not allowed to use m obile dev ices, such as in an airplan e and at a hospital.
10 G et starte d Display Press and hold to switch the phone on or off . End a call. In Menu mode, cancel input and return the phone to Id le mode. Enter numbers, letters, and some special characters. In Idle mode, press and hold [ 1 ] to access your v oicemail serv er .

28 Call functions Redialling recent numbers 1. In Idle mode, pres s [ ] to display the list of recent numbers. 2. Scroll to the number you want and press [ ]. Making a call from Phonebook Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook.
29 Call functions Using the headset Use the headset to m ake or answer calls without holding the pho ne. Connect the he adset to the j ack on the righ t side of the phone. The button on the headset works as follows : Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functi ons during a call.

The two ca llers can talk to each other , but you are disconnected from the call. • Join : set up a multi-p arty call b y adding a caller on hold to a currently active call. 33 M enu functions Phonebook (Menu 2) T o reset the call timers, press < Reset >. Y ou need to enter the phone pass word. Call costs (Menu 1.7) This network feature displays the cost of calls. This menu is available only if supported by your SIM card.

The phone searche s for the contact names starting with the letters label led on any of the keys you pressed. 1. In Idle mode, press the number keys containing the letters you want.

Text messag e templates (Menu 5. 3.1) Y ou c an create SMS templates wi th the se ntences you use frequently so that you can retrieve and insert them when com posing an SM S message.
