6 Section 1 Activating Y our Phone When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are provide d with a plug-in SIM card loaded with your subscription details, su ch as your PIN, any optional services available, and many others.
Section 1: Getting Started 7 Activating Y our Phone Section 1 3. Remove the ba ttery . Grasp the bottom of the b atter y (1) and lift up. Pull the battery out and away (2). 4. Slide the SIM card into the SI M card socket so that the card locks into place.
8 Section 1 5. Place the battery so that the 3 brass tabs on the end align with the 3 bra ss prongs at the bottom of the batter y compartment (1). Press t he battery down until it click s into place (2). 6. Replace the back cover . Make sure that the ba ttery is properly instal led before switching on the phone.

Press the key to increase the volume lev el and the key to decrease the level. In Idle mode, you can also adjust the ring volume us ing these keys while the phone is open.

Note: The actual time invoiced by your service provider may differ from times displayed due to network fea tures and service plan.

Send Settings • Delivery repor t : when this option is enabled, t he network informs you whether or not your message has be en delivered.

Section 8 96 Time & Date Settings This menu allows you to chan ge the current time and date displayed. The following options ar e available: • Set time: allows you to change the ho ur and minute. • AM/PM: allows you to set either AM or PM. • Time format: allows you to select whether your time is displayed in 12 hour or 24 hour format.

Section 8 98 Slide settings This menu allows you to set how your phone will function when you slide your phone open or closed. The following options are available: • Up : Select Accept call if you want the ca ll to be answered when you slide your phone open.

Section 8 100 Wallpaper This menu allows you to chan ge the backgr ound image or the color of the text to be displayed in Idle mode. The following options ar e available: • Get more wallpaper: this option takes you to t-zones where you can download wal lpapers.

Section 8 102 Dialing display This menu allows you to select the s ize and color of your dialing font. Y ou can also set you r backgr ound color . T o change the size of the font: 1. Highlight the Font size option and press the Select soft key or the key .
