Getting star ted 24 Lock mode When you lock your phone using the Phone lock menu ( Menu 7-5-1 ), you can receiv e m essages and calls, but you cannot place a call until you unlock the phone.
Call functions 26 Ending a call When you want to finish your call, press the key . The call time, the length of the call, displays along with the p hone number of th e called person. If the number is stored in your Phone book, the name displays. If there is no match, you can press the Save soft key and stor e the number in Phone book.
Call functions 28 Prepend dialing The Prepend option lets you add digits, such as area codes and network feature activ a tion codes, to a phone number that is in your call logs before dialing it. T o prepend the phone numbers stored in the call logs : 1.
Call functions 30 Pause dial in g When you call an automated system, like a banking service, you are oft en required to enter a password or an account number . Instead of manually entering the numbers each time, yo u can store the numbers in your Phone b ook, separated by paus es.
Call functions 32 Adjusting the volume during a call During a call, if you want to adjust the voice volu me , use t he V olume ke ys on the le ft sid e of t he phone. Press the key to incre ase the volume lev el and the key to decrease the lev el. The image on the display shows all five levels; the more bars you see, the higher the level is.
Call functions 34 Viewing missed calls If you fail to answer a ca ll for any reason, the pho ne indicates a missed call by displa ying a te xt notification on the screen. Additionally , if caller informatio n is available, a Missed entry is crea ted, and the screen displa ys th e phone number of the last missed call.

Scroll Timer (Menu 3-4-1) If an incoming message is too long for the display , the phone scrolls the scree n automatically . Message 76 Delivery Report : allows y ou to request th at the network inform you when your message has been delivered. Read Reply : allows you to request that the network in form y ou when the recipien t reads your message. Retrieval Mo de : allows you to set how you w ant to retriev e incoming M MS messages.

Settings 104 Security (Menu 7-5) Y our phone provides you with v ari ous security options, includin g a us er - prog r ammable lock code and emergency numbers. T o access the Security menu, you must enter the 4-digit lock code. It is preset to “0000” at t he factory .

VAS 116 Ringtone (Menu 8-3) In this menu, you can download ring tones and melodies from the W AP browser and play the downloaded contents. Download New Ringtone (Menu 8-3-1) Seleci ng this menu lo ads the WAP page preset by your service provider so that you can download a variety of ring tones and melodies.
