▶ ❑ Using the INFO button (Now & Next guide) The display identifies the curr ent channel and the status of certain audio-video settings. The Now & Next guide shows daily TV pr ogramme information for each channel accor ding to the br oadcasting time.
◀ ▶ ❑ Memorizing channels ■ Aerial O MENU m → Br oadcasting → Aerial → ENTER E Befor e your television can begin memorising the available channels, you must specify the type of signal sour ce that is connected to the TV .
◀ ▶ ■ Auto T uning (depending on the country) O MENU m → Br oadcasting → Auto T uning → ENTER E N Automatically allocated pr ogramme numbers may not corr espond to actual or desir ed pr ogramme numbers. If a channel is locked, the PIN input window appears.
◀ ▶ When selecting Cable → Digital & Analogue , Digital or Analogue – Operator Selection (depending on the country): Selects a pr ovider of cable services. – Sear ch Mode : Scans for all channels with active br oadcast stations and stor es them in the TV .
◀ ▶ ● Fr equency : Displays the fr equency for the channel (dif fers in each country). ● Modulation : Displays available modulation values. ● Symbol Rate : Displays available symbol rates.
◀ ▶ ❑ Using the Channel menu O MENU m → Br oadcasting → Channel List → ENTER E ■ Channel List The Channel List contains the channels your TV displays when you pr ess the channel button. Y ou can view channel information, All , TV , Radio , Data/Other , Analogue or Favourites 1-5 .
◀ ▶ Channel Sorting ● Number / Name : Arranges the channel or der accor ding to channel number or name on the list. Channel Mode ● Air / Cable : Switches to Air or Cable . ● Edit Favourites : Set channels you watch fr equently as favourites.
◀ ▶ ● All : Shows all curr ently available channels. ● TV : Shows all curr ently available TV channels. ● Radio : Shows all curr ently radio channels. ● Data/Other : Shows all curr ently available MHP or other channels. ● Analogue : Shows all curr ently available analogue channels.

◀ ▶ ● Audio Format When sound is emitted fr om both the main speaker and the audio r eceiver , a sound echo may occur due to the decoding speed dif fer ence between the main speaker and the audio r eceiver . In this case, use the TV Speaker function.

◀ ▶ ■ Backlight for LED TV / Cell Light for PDP TV / Contrast / Brightness / Sharpness / Colour / Tint (G/R) Y our television has several setting options for pictur e quality contr ol. N NOTE ● In analogue TV , Ext. , AV modes of the P AL system, the Tint (G/R) function is not available.

◀ ▶ Zoom : Magnifies the 16:9 wide pictur es vertically to fit the scr een size. N Adjusts the Zoom or Position by using ▲ , ▼ button. 4:3 : Sets the pictur e to basic (4:3) mode.
◀ ▶ Smart View 1 for LED 6 series : Reduces original scr een by 50%. Smart View 2 for LED 6 series : Reduces original scr een by 25%. N NOTE ● Smart View 1 is enabled only in HDMI mode.

N When connecting a PC, you can only make changes to the White Balance and Gamma .
◀ ▶ ● RGB Only Mode : Displays the Red, Gr een and Blue colour for making fine adjustments to the hue and saturation. ● Colour Space : Adjust the range of colours available to cr eate the image. N T o adjust Colour , Red , Gr een , Blue and Reset , set Colour Space to Custom .
◀ ▶ ● 10p White Balance for PDP TV / LED 6 series : Contr ols the white balance in 10 point interval by adjusting the r ed, gr een, and blue brightness. N A vailable when the pictur e mode is set to Movie and when the exter nal input is set to all input.
◀ ▶ ● Expert Patter n for PDP TV / LED 6 series : By running the Expert Patter n function, the pictur e can be calibrated without a generator or filter . If the OSD menu disappears or a menu other than the Pictur e menu is opened, the calibration is saved and the Expert Patter n window disappears.
◀ ▶ ■ Pictur e Options O MENU m → Pictur e → Pictur e Options → ENTER E N When connecting a PC, you can only make changes to the Colour T one . ● Colour T one N W arm1 or W arm2 will be deactivated when the pictur e mode is Dynamic . N Settings can be adjusted and stor ed for each exter nal device connected to an input on the TV .
◀ ▶ Auto Visualisation : When changing analogue channels, displays signal str ength. N Only available for analogue channels. N When the INFO button is pr essed, the signal str ength bar is displayed. N When bar is gr een, you ar e r eceiving the best possible signal.
◀ ▶ ● Film Mode : Sets the TV to automatically sense and pr ocess film signals fr om all sour ces and adjust the pictur e for optimum quality. N The Cinema Smooth function is only activated when HDMI 24Hz signal is inputted.
◀ ▶ ● Motion Plus for LED 6 series : Removes drag fr om fast scenes with a lot of movement to pr ovide a clear er pictur e. N The Info scr een on your TV displays the r esolution and fr equency of the incoming signal (60Hz), but not the fr equency the TV is generating for the image it is displaying by using Motion Plus function.
◀ ▶ Blur Reduction : Adjusts the blur r eduction level fr om video sour ces. Judder Reduction : Adjusts the judder r eduction level fr om video sour ces when playing films. LED Clear Motion : Removes drag fr om fast scenes with a lot of movement to pr ovide a clear pictur e.

◀ ▶ ❑ Changing the Pr eset Sound Mode ■ Sound Mode O MENU m → Sound → Sound Mode → ENTER E ● Standar d : Selects the normal sound mode. ● Music : Emphasizes music over voices. ● Movie : Pr ovides the best sound for movies. ● Clear V oice : Emphasizes voices over other sounds.
◀ ▶ ❑ Adjusting Sound Settings ■ Sound Ef fect (standar d sound mode only) O MENU m → Sound → Sound Ef fect → ENTER E ● DTS T ruSurr ound This function pr ovides a virtual 5.1 channel surr ound sound experience thr ough a pair of speakers using HRTF (Head Related T ransfer Function) technology.
◀ ▶ ● Equaliser Use Equaliser to customize sound setting for each speaker . Balance : Adjusts the balance between the right and left speaker . 100Hz / 300Hz / 1kHz / 3kHz / 10kHz (Bandwidth Adjustment): Adjusts the level of specific bandwidth fr equencies.
◀ ▶ ■ Speaker Settings O MENU m → Sound → Speaker Settings → ENTER E ● Speaker Select t A sound echo may occur due to a dif fer ence in decoding speed between the main speaker and the audio r eceiver . In this case, set the TV to Exter nal Speaker .
◀ ▶ ● Auto V olume T o equalize the volume level on each channel, set to Normal . Night : This mode pr ovides an impr oved sound experience compar ed to Normal mode, making almost no noise. It is useful at night. N T o use the volume contr ol on the sour ce device connected to the TV , set Auto V olume to O ff on the TV .
◀ ▶ ■ Additional Settings O MENU m → Sound → Additional Settings → ENTER E ● DTV Audio Level (digital channels only): This function allows you to r educe the disparity of a voice signal (which is one of the signals r eceived during a digital TV br oadcast) to a desir ed level.
◀ ▶ ● Digital Audio Out : Digital Audio out is used to pr ovide digital sound, r educing interfer ence going to speakers and various digital devices such as a DVD player . Audio Format : Y ou can select the Digital Audio output format. The available Digital Audio output format may dif fer depending on the input sour ce.
◀ ▶ ● Dolby Digital Comp : This function minimizes signal disparity between a dolby digital signal and a voice signal (i.e. MPEG Audio, HE-AAC, A TV Sound). N Select Line to obtain dynamic sound, and RF to r educe the dif fer ence between loud and soft sounds at night time.
◀ ▶ ❑ Selecting the Sound Mode t When you set to Dual I-II , the curr ent sound mode is displayed on the scr een. Audio T ype Dual I-II Default A2 Ster eo Mono Mono Automatic change Ster eo Ster.
◀ ▶ Pr efer ence Featur es ❑ Executing initial setup ■ Setup O MENU m → System → Setup → ENTER E Configur e the channels and the time when setting up the TV for the first time or when r esetting the unit. N Execute the initial setup following instructions that the TV guides.
◀ ▶ ❑ Setting the Time ■ Time O MENU m → System → Time → ENTER E The curr ent time will appear every time you pr ess the INFO button. ● Clock : Setting the clock is for using various timer featur es of the TV . N If you disconnect the power cor d, you have to set the clock again.
◀ ▶ Clock Set : Set the Date and Time . N A vailable only when Clock Mode is set to Manual . N Y ou can set the Date and Time dir ectly by pr essing the number buttons on the r emote contr ol. Time Zone (depending on the country): Select your time zone.
◀ ▶ ❑ Using the Sleep Timer O MENU m → System → Time → Sleep Timer → ENTER E ● Sleep Timer t : Automatically shuts of f the TV after a pr eset period of time. (30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 minutes) N Use the ▲ / ▼ buttons to select a period of time, and then pr ess ENTER E .
◀ ▶ ❑ Setting the On / Of f Timer O MENU m → System → Time → On Timer <or> Of f Timer → ENTER E ● On Timer : Y ou can set up thr ee separate On Timer configurations. ( On Timer 1 , On Timer 2 , On Timer 3 ) Setup : Select O ff , Once , Everyday , Mon~Fri , Mon~Sat , Sat~Sun or Manual to set at your convenience.
◀ ▶ Sour ce : T o select the sour ce of the content that will play when the TV tur ns on. Y ou can: – Select TV and have the TV display a specific air or cable channel. – Select USB and have the TV play back photo or audio files fr om a USB device.
◀ ▶ N If you select a sour ce other than TV or USB , you must: ● Have a cable or satellite set-top box attached to that sour ce ● Set the set-top box to the channel you want to watch when the TV goes on ● Leave the set-top box tur ned on. N When you select a sour ce other than TV or USB , the Aerial and Channel options will disappear .
◀ ▶ Music / Photo (when the Sour ce is set to USB ): Select a folder in the USB device containing music or photo files to be played when the TV is tur ned on automatically. – If ther e is no music file on the USB device or the folder containing a music file is not selected, the timer function does not operate corr ectly.
◀ ▶ – It is r ecommended that you use a USB memory stick and a multi car d r eader when using On Timer . – The On Timer function may not work with USB devices with a built-in battery, MP3 players, or PMPs made by some manufactur ers because these devices take a long time to be r ecognized.
◀ ▶ ❑ Economical Solutions ■ Eco Solution O MENU m → System → Eco Solution → ENTER E ● Energy Saving : This adjusts the brightness of the TV in or der to r educe power consumption. ● Eco Sensor for PDP TV / LED 6 series : T o enhance your power savings; the pictur e settings will automatically adapt to the light in the r oom.
◀ ▶ ● No Signal Power Of f : T o avoid unnecessary energy consumption, set how long you want the TV to r emain on if it’ s not r eceiving a signal. N Disabled when the PC is in power saving mode. ● Auto Power Of f : The TV will be automatically tur ned of f when no user operation is r eceived for 4 hours.

◀ ▶ ● Pixel Shift : Using this function, you can set the TV to move pixels minutely on the PDP scr een in a horizontal or vertical dir ection to minimize after images on the scr een.
