8 .3 < Maintenan ce> 6 Clean a feed sen sor with a cotton bud . 7 Reinsert t he toner cartri dge and close t he top cover . 8 Plug in th e power cord an d turn the printer on.
8 .4 < Maintenan ce> Checking the remaining toner Y ou ca n check the level of tone r left in th e cartr idge. If you are having print quality p roblems, thi s can he lp you determin e if the p robl em is caus ed by lo w ton er . 1 Press Menu u ntil System Setup ap pears on the bot tom line of th e display and press OK .
8 .5 < Maintenan ce> 4 Hold th e toner ca rtridge by the han dle and slow ly insert the cartridge into the openin g in the printer . T abs on the side s of the cartridge and correspond ing grooves within the printer will guide the cartridge in to the corre ct position until it locks into pla ce complet ely .
8 .6 < Maintenan ce> 4 Locate t he sealing t ape at the end of the toner cartri dge. Carefully pull the tape comple tely out of the c artridg e and dis c ard i t. 5 Remove t he flexible plastic h older out of the t oner cartridge. 6 Thor ough ly shak e th e cartr idge 5 or 6 ti mes to distr ibut e the t oner evenly inside the cart ridge.

B ecaus e of th e compos ition of the tra nspar ency , some characte r voids may be normal.
9 .14 < Troubleshoot ing> Commo n Linux problems A PostScript error pa ge prints . Print job m ay not be PostScript . Make sure that the print job is a PostScript job. Check to se e whether the so ftware appl icat ion expect ed a setu p or PostScript header fil e to be sent to the printer .

10 .2 < Installi ng accessories > 3 Grasp th e control board cover and rem ove it. 4 T ake out a new DI MM from it s pla stic bag . 5 Locate t he extra DMM s lot and alig n the n otch on th e DIMM with the gr oove at th e DIMM slot, h olding the DIM M by it s edges.
10 .3 < Installi ng accessories > Removing a DIMM T o ex pand the printer mem ory to 51 2 MB, you need to remove the preinst alled 128 MB DI MM and inst all two 256 MB DIMM s into the DIMM slot s. Push the l atches at both e nds of the DIMM slo t away to remove the DIMM and pull out the DIM M.
10 .4 < Installi ng accessories > 4 Align the connector on the wire d networ k interface card with the connec tor on the c ontrol board. Pus h the card firmly in to the connec tor on the control b oard until it is c ompletel y and s ecurely in place.

Push the hard disk in un til it is latch ed into place. 5 Fasten th e four screws supplied with your new hard disk. 6 Close the control board cover by alig ning the groove o n it with the notch on the printer an d slidin g it.
