Assembling 10 Inser t the SIM or USIM card. 3 Place the SIM or USIM card into the devic e with • the gold-colored contacts facing down. If you do not insert a SIM or USIM card, you can • only use your device ’ s non-network services and some menus.
Assembling 11 Charge the batt er y Before using the device f or the rst time, you must charge the battery. Y ou can charge the device with the pro vided travel adapter or by connecting the device to a PC with a PC data cable. Use only Samsung-approved char gers and cables.
Assembling 12 Plug the large end of the trav el adapter into a power 3 outlet. Y ou can use the device while it is charging , but it • may take longer to fully charge the battery . While the device is charging , the touch screen may • not funct ion d ue t o a n uns table pow er su pply .
Assembling 13 Inser t a memor y card (optional) T o store additional multimedia les, you must insert a memory card. Y our device accepts microSD ™ or microSDHC ™ memory ca rd s w ith m aximu m cap aciti es of 32 GB (depending on memory card manufacturer and type).
Assembling 14 Push the memory card in the memory card slot until it 3 locks in place. Replace the back cover . 4 Remove the memory card › Before remo ving a memory card, rst unmount it for safe removal. Entertainment 45 Entertainment Camera Learn how to capture and view phot os and videos. Y ou can take phot os a t r esol uti ons u p to 20 48 x 153 6 pix els (3.2 megapixels) and videos at resolutions up t o 320 x 240 pixels. T o use the camera, you must rst insert a memor y card.
Entertainment 46 Press the Volume key to zoom in or out . 4 Select 5 to take a photo . The photo is saved aut omatically . After taking photos, select to view the taken photos. T o view more photos, scroll left or right. • T o zoom in or out, tap the screen and select • or .

When the subjec t smiles, the device automatically takes a photo . The camera will recog nize up to three people and take the photo when all subjects smile.
Entertainment 48 Slowly move the device in an y direc tion and align the 6 green frame with the viewnder . When you have alig ned the green frame and viewnder , the camera will automatically take the next photo. Repeat step 6 to complete the panoramic phot o.
Entertainment 49 Capture a photo of action › Y ou can capture shots of a moving subject and then combine them into a single photo that show s the action. In Idle mode, open the application list and select 1 Camera . Rotate the device counter clockwise to landscape view.
