Assembling 10 Install the SIM or USIM card When you subscribe to a c ellular ser vice , you will r eceive a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, with subscription details, such as y our personal identification number (PIN) and optional ser vices.
Assembling 11 Charge the battery only with a charger . Y ou cannot ● charge the battery with the USB cable. When your batt er y is low , the device will emit a ● warning tone and display a lo w battery message. T he battery icon will also be empty .

Getting star ted 25 › Swit ch to Silent mode F rom the Home scr een or while using an application, select the right side of the system bar and then select Sound on the notifications panel. Y ou can set the device to aler t you to various ev ents in Silent mode.
Getting star ted 26 Adjust the brigh tness of the display › Open the application list and select 1 Settings → Screen → Brightness . Clear the check box next to 2 Aut omatic brightness . Drag the slider to adjust the lev el of brightness. 3 Select 4 OK .
Getting star ted 27 Draw a patt ern again to confirm. 5 Select 6 Confirm . Set an unlock PIN code Open the application list and select 1 Settings → L ocation and security → C onfigur e lock screen → PIN . Enter a new PIN (numeric) and select 2 Con tinue .
Getting star ted 28 › Activat e the F ind m y mobile f eature When someone inserts a new SIM or USIM card in your device, the F ind my mobile featur e will automatically send the contact number to specified recipients t o help you locat e and reco ver y our device .
Getting star ted 29 Enter t ext Y ou can enter text by selecting charac ters on the virtual keypad, inputting handwriting on the screen, or speaking wor ds into the micr ophone. Y ou cannot enter text in some languages. T o enter text, you should change the writing language to one of the suppor ted languages.

Communication 46 C ommunica tion Messaging Learn to cr eate and send t ext (SMS) or multimedia (MMS) messages, and view or manage messages y ou have sen t or receiv ed. Y ou may incur additional charges for sending or receiving messages while outside y our home service area.

Communication 48 Google Mail Y ou can retrieve new email messages from Google Mail ™ to your Inbo x. W hen you acc ess this application, the Inbox screen appears . The total number of unread messages displays in the title bar and unr ead messages display in bold .

Entertainment 55 While playing music , use the follo wing options: T o add a music file to a pla ylist, select ● → A dd to pla ylist . T o listen t o music via a Bluetooth headset, select ● → Via Bluetooth . Y ou cannot use this option when you c onnect a headset to your devic e.
