GB 13 GB 12 Auto Setup The first time you connect your DVD-VCR, or after an extended power outage, you will be prompted to set the on-screen menu language and connect an Antenna or Cable. Then the DVD-VCR will run an Auto Setup procedure, where it will automatically search for all active channels and set the clock.

If your A/V receiver is equipped with a DTS decoder, your DVD- VCR can output DTS digital sound, but you MUST enable this feature in the menu system. NOTE: Select “Yes” ONLY if you have connected a DTS-equipped A/V receiver to the Digital Output (optical or coaxial) on the DVD-VCR back panel.

GB 59 How to Set a Timer Recording Insert a blank tape with a Record Safety Tab into the VCR deck. The Timer Recording Feature allows you to program up to 16 events at a time to record up to a year in advance. Set the TV to channel 3 or 4 (whichever the switch is set to on the back of the DVD-VCR).
GB 61 GB 60 COPY CHANNEL REC VIDEO N/CLOSE LINE If there is a problem with your Timer Recording, the Timer icon will flash on the Front Panel Display and an error message will appear on the On-Screen Display. Once you correct the error, the event will begin if there is still time remaining for that event.
GB 63 Index Scan will fast-forward or rewind to the nearest Index Mark, play a few seconds of tape, and then fast-forward or rewind to the next Index Mark. When you find the show you want to watch, press Play. Tip: Use this feature with the Date/Time Stamp to quickly find Timer Recordings on your tapes.
GB 65 Direct Time Sear ch Use Direct Time Search to locate a specific tape location in hours, minutes, and seconds. GB 67 S-Video/Component V ideo Connections (for DVD) You can ONLY watch the DVD player through the S-Video or Component Video connection method. The tuner and VCR will still be viewed through the RF or line inputs. You must follow the “Alt Video Out” instructions on page 68 to activate your alternative video selection.
GB 69 Stereo Connections You can enjoy stereo sound when watching movies and TV shows by connecting your DVD-VCR to your home stereo system or stereo TV. 1 Connect DVD-VCR to Stereo Connect RCA cables from the Line Out Left & Right Audio jacks on the back panel of the DVD-VCR to the Auxiliary Inputs on your stereo receiver.
