The C03 features dual large , 19mm ultra thin diaphragm capsules which f aithfully reproduce a var iety of sound sources including vocals, acoustic instruments and ov erhead cymbals to name a fe w .
Po we ring the C03 The C03 is a condenser microphone and therefore needs to be oper ated by connecting a phantom power supply . Phantom power is standard on most quality mix ers, outboard mic- pres and hard disk recorders. If necessar y , an e xternal phantom supply (like the S phan- tom by Samson A udio) can also be used.
Opera ting the C03 Simply put, proximity eff ect is the change in frequency response as the microphone posi- tion is changed relative to the sound source . Any microphone exhibits its best frequency response when pointed directly at the sound source (on-axis).
M icrophone Placement In order to maximize the sound quality , you must pay careful attention to the placement of y our C03 and ho w it is positioned for the instrument or v ocalist that you are miking.
