4 POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). T o reduce the risk of electr ic shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, re verse the plug.

6 Bef ore Using Y our P od Coffee Maker Become f amiliar with all par ts of the appliance. Keep y our Pod Coff ee Maker c lean Clean and descale your P od Coffee Mak er on a regular basis.
7 2 . Fill the Water T ank with fresh water up to the ‘Max’ line , and fit back into the Base (do wn and in) until it “snaps” into place, see Figure 4. 3. Lift Lid by pulling out on the Le v er . T op will pop up. Push back so Lid is in fully raised position, see Figure 5.
8 5. Make sure the mouth of the P od Chamber is inside the Adjustab le Brew Spout. Do not place a coffee pod in chamber . See Figure 6. 6. Place the P od Holder so it sits securely on top of the P od Chamber , see Figure 7.
9 9. Press the P ower Light/Indicator Button to turn power on, then simultaneously press the 5-Ounce Serving and 8-Ounce Ser ving Buttons, see Figure 8. The water from the W ater T ank will cycle through the coff ee maker . NO TE: If unit goes unused for 3 or more da ys, please repeat abov e process (steps 1-9).
10 6. Place one coff ee pod inside the P od Holder . Press lightly on the coff ee pod to mak e sure it sits e venly in the P od Holder . See Figures 9 and 10 f or correct pod inser tion. CA UTION: Use only pre-measured coffee pods in y our P od Coff ee Mak er .
11 Y ou ma y lea ve y our coffee mak er on if y ou intend to brew another cup of coff ee . The coff ee mak er will turn off automatically after one hour .
12 4. Remov e the Dr ip T ra y and Overflo w T ra y , see Figure 11. 5. Clean the Water T ank, P od Holder , P od Chamber , Adjustable Bre w Spout, Drip T ra y and Overflo w T ray with hot w ater .

Check the f ollowing: • the pod is placed properly in the P od Holder .
14 5. The indicator light is flashing. A flashing indicator light means the machine is heating. This nor mally lasts f or 1 1/2 -2 minutes . If indicator light is flashing rapidly (more than a second apar t), see #6 belo w . If the indicator light flashes continually f or more than 4 minutes , contact Consumer Ser vice .
