OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS -3- 1 POWER ON/OFF BUTT ON Press this button to turn the unit on or off. If the unit is off and the ignition switch is "on", the unit will turn on automatically when a disc is inserted, or when the MODE switch or BAND switch is pressed.

-6- bp LIQUID CR YST AL DISPLA Y P ANEL FUNCTIONS The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel displays the f requency , time, and all activated functions, including five bar graphs which provide a visual representation o f the audio signal.
-7- cl SHUFFLE PLA Y SELECTOR (SHF) During disc play , press this button to play the tracks on the disc in a random or shuffled order ( SHF ) will appear on the display panel). In Random Play mode, pressing the Forward Track Select ( + ) or the Backward Track Select ( - ) will also select tracks in a random order instead of the normal progression.
cr LOCAL/DIST ANT (LOC) SELECT OR This feature is used to select the strength of the signals at which the radio will stop during Automatic Seek Tuning. Press- ing and holding this button will select the Local setting (LO- CAL will appear on the display panel) and only strong (local) stations will be received.

a desired disc is reached, press the Scan button again and play of the selected disc will continue ( DSN will disappear from the display panel). The Disc Scan mode will also be canceled by activating the (Repeat Play or Random Play functions).
