-1- OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 1 ON-OFF POWER BUTTON Press this button to turn the unit on or off. The unit will also turn on automatically when a cassette tape is inserted if the ignition switch is "on". 2 VOLUME LEVEL CONTROL (VOL+ / VOL-) T o increase the volume level, press the “VOL + ” side of the button.
-2- 6 LOUDNESS CONTOUR (LOUD) T o adjust the Loudness Contour, first select the Loudness mode by pressing the Select (SEL) 3 so that "LOUD" indication appears on the display panel. Within 5 seconds press either ( + ) for "On" or ( - ) for "Off".
-3- appears on the display panel. Within 5 seconds of choosing the Fader mode, press the + or the - side of the Level Control 2 t o adjust the front-rear speaker levels as desired. When the level of the front and rear speakers is equal, "0-0" will be shown on the display panel.
bn ST A TION PRE-SET MEMORIES T o set any of the 6 pre-set memories in each band, use the fo l lo wi n g procedure: 1. Turn the radio on and select the desired band. 2. Select the first station to be pre-set using the Manual Up/Down or Automatic Seek T uning Controls 9 .
-5- bs PROGRAM SELECTOR (PROG) T o manually reverse tape direction and play the other side (program) of the cassette, lightly push both the Fast-Forward bq and Rewind br buttons at the same time. The change of direction will be shown by the tape direction arrow on the display panel.
-6- SETTING THE CLOCK 1. T urn the radio on so that the radio frequency or clock time is shown on the display panel. 2. Press and hold the Select button 3 approximately 4 seconds until the time display begins flashing.
-7- Back ward T rack Select button (TRK – ), the next lower track number will be selected. cq CUE/REVIEW FUNCTIONS High-speed audible search to any section of the disc can be made by the Cue and Review functions.
-8- ct TRACK/DISC SHUFFLE (SHF) When the Shuffle button is pressed, the tracks on the disc will be played in a random, shuffled order (“SHF” will appear on the display panel). The T rack Select button cp wil l a lso select tracks in the shuffled order instead of the normal progression.
