INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your r ecent purchase of the Russound DPA-4.8 8-channel amplifier . The DP A-4.8 high-current, high- quality amplifier is the heart of the home theater or multi- zone system. The DPA-4.8 8-channel amplifier is capable of amplifying four stereo line level sour ces (CD players, tape decks, preamplifier s, tuners, etc.
POSSIBLE SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS The DPA-4.8 can be configur ed as an audio distribution sys- tem, or used as the main amplifier for a home theater system. When used with an audio distribution preamp, each zone can independently drive one of several differ ent sources by using each zones’ individual line audio inputs.
5 FRONT PANEL Rack Mounting: The DP A-4.8 amplifier can be rack mounted. The amplifier will take 3 rack spaces. P ower Switch: T urns on the main power for the amplifier . When the power is on the LED will be illuminated. Zone Indicator LEDs: Zone one to four will be illuminated when the zone is in the active mode.
