1 Microwaves are high -frequency electromagnetic waves similar to radio waves. W hile radio waves may vary in length f rom one m etre to m any kilometers, microwaves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microwav es d o not make any heat themselves b ut only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
1 Do not use the o ven fo r any reason other than p reparing food, such as f or drying clothes, paper or any other non-food items, or for sterilizing purposes. Do not use the oven when it is empty . This could damage the oven. Do not store anything in the oven, such as pa pers, cookbooks and so on.
1 W hen heating or cooking food or liquid, remember that there are certain fo ods (such as Christmas puddings, jam and mincemeat) which heat up very quickly . W hen heating or cooking food that contain a lot of fat or sugar , do not use plastic containers.
1 1. Select a level surface that provides enough sp ace for the outlet vent s. 2. A minimum clearance of 3 inches (7.5cm) is required between the oven and any ad jacent walls. One side must be open. Leave a minimum clearance of 12 inches (30cm) above the oven.

6 L DISPLA Y Cooking t ime, pow er , action indicators, and clock time are displ ayed. POWER Press this button a number of times to set microwav e cooking power lev el. A UTO COOK Press this button for easy cookin g menus. A UTO DEFR OST Press to defrost food by weight.
7 Connect the mains plug into a suit able 13amp m ains socket, make sure the voltage is th e same as on the rating label (do not u se extension cables or mains socket adaptors). Th e microwave oven will beep on ce and the display will show the clock symbol and ‘1:00’.
8 Y ou can microwave food using 6 settings: Press PO W ER LEVEL button Cooking power (Dis pla y) Once 100% (100) T wice 80% (80) 3 times 60% (60) 4 times 40% (40) 5 times 20% (20) 6 times 0% (00) For example, if you want to m icrowave f ood f or 5 minute at 60% microwave power: 1.
9 1. Place the food in a c o ntainer suitable f or use with microw ave ovens, and p ut it into the oven. 2. Choose the ‘ AUTO COOK ’ menu you want by pressing the ‘ AUT O COOK ’ button. The ‘ AUTO ’ symbo l will be displayed. Press th e ‘ AUTO COOK ’ b utton a number of times to choose your menu.

11 If you want to set the follow ing cooking p rogram, Microwave cooking (for 20 minutes at 100% power) Microwave cooking (for 5 minutes at 40% power) 1. Input the first stage of microwave cooking program. 2. Input the second stage o f microwave cooking prog ram.
12 Before you clean the microw ave oven, turn it of f and unplug it. Keep t he inside o f the oven clean. When food or liquids s tick to the o ven walls, wipe with a damp clot h. W e recommend that you do not use h arsh detergent or abrasives.
The microwave oven may cause interference to your radio, TV or similar equipment. If it does, you can get rid of the interference b y moving the radio, TV or equipment as far away from your microwave oven as possible.
