GENERAL USE 1. After unpacking the dehumidifier , w ait 2 hour s before using it. Common sense and caution must be used w hen installing, operating and maintaining any appliance. 2. This appliance should be used by adults onl y . Do not allow childr en to play with the appliance.
BDH-450 / BDH-550 SET -UP INST ALLING THE DRAINAGE HOSE The dr ainage hose can be put out into any suitable area w here w ater can be emptied. The hose can be r un outside through a window , in a sink, or in a drain. Attention should be given to the flow of the drained w ater .
OPERA TION Control Panel 6 POWER CONTROL B UTT ON The power contr ol tur ns the unit on and off . When you press the control, the unit begins to oper ate and the light will illuminate.
BDH-450 / BDH-550 PUMP Use the button to active the heavy-duty pump system for active draining. Once the pump button is pressed, the pump light near the L CD Displa y will illuminate and the pump will automatically remove the water as it is collected.
8 MAINTENANCE Always unplug the unit fr om the wall outlet befor e beginning cleaning. The unit is equipped with a w ashable filter . Follow the instruction below to remov e and clean it. Cleaning the Air Filter If the filter is dir ty , air circulation is compr omised and the efficiency of the dehumidifying decreases.
