Switching On, Lowering and Adjusting the Screen Use the system when your vehicle is running, or with the ignition key switch in the “accessory” position. Press the OPEN button, as shown. 8 Rosen A9 Owner’s Manual Changing Monitor Settings Display Adjustments: The A9 monitor has adjustable video settings. T o change these settings, press the ENTER button on the overhead console and hold it for two seconds.

The remote control offers more functionality than the front-panel controls. Always aim the remote control at the A 9 control panel - it contains the infrared sensor .

15 Rosen Entertainment Systems The wireless IR headphones require two AAA batteries. T o replace the batteries, remove the battery compartment cap on the right earpiece and insert batteries, as shown. USING OPTIONAL WIRED HEADPHONES There are two jacks for wired headphones on the forward edge of the A9, under a removable cover.
16 Rosen A9 Owner’s Manual WA TCHING BROADCAST TELEVISION (ON TV TUNER-EQUIPPED SYSTEMS) Y ou can watch television or videotapes on the A9 if you have installed the optional CV4000 TV Tuner kit (includes TV T uner , antenna, and an AC3024 TV/VCP harness).
17 Rosen Entertainment Systems USING GAMES AND CAMCORDERS Y ou may use video games, camcorders, and other portable video units by connecting the unit to the auxiliary RCA input jacks on the A9. Y ou must remove the cover to access the jacks, and press SOURCE to select the “Auxiliary Input”.

19 Rosen Entertainment Systems Make sure that the A9 internal DVD player is set to “WIDE” (see DVD Setup, page 20) . Use the Display Mode button to select “Wide” or “Stretch”. • T o view widescreen DVD’s, use “Wide”. • T o stretch the picture to take up more of the screen, use “ S tretch”.

21 Rosen Entertainment Systems Parental Control The supplied remote control does not support the Parental Control feature. Changing Language Settings Several language settings can be customized on the DVD Player . These languages can vary depending on the language supported by the DVD disc.
