4 SECTION 1: GETTING ST ARTED Introduction Y our SoundBridge R adio makes listening t o Internet radio as easy as listening to AM/FM radio with easy browsing of a v ariety of Internet radio stations and the ability to save your fa vorites with the press of a button.
5 Setting Up Y our SoundBridge Radio T o use SoundBridge R adio you will need t o: 1 . Put the include d AA A batteri es into your remote control. M ake sure there is no obje ct blo cking the IR re c eiver l ocated on the r ight side of your So undBridg e Radio display .
6 Configuring Y our SoundBridge Radio Sound Bridge Radio all ows you to customize your pro duct by choosin g from multiple languag es, and a range of time zo nes and geogr aphic locations . Y our countr y informatio n is used to se lec t the correct W i- F i format .
7 Changing Music Sources Y ou easily navigate be tween di ffe rent music ser vers on your ne twork , as well as your Inter net Radio Lib rary and A M/ F M radio. Y ou can us e the Source [ ] but ton on the top of th e unit to access another music s ource.
8 Using Headphones For private lis tening, connec t headpho nes to the headpho ne jack on the side of th e unit. The speaker s are automatically muted w hen you plug in he adphones . T o change th e volume level of the head phones, use th e volume knob o n SoundBri dge Radio or the vo lume buttons o n the remote contro l.

12 Storing Y our F av orite Rad io Stations to Pre sets A Preset is a quick w a y to play your f avorite music on your So undBridg e Radio. Any music you can pl a y on the So undBridg e Radio can b e saved as a Preset. T his includes AM /FM and Intern et radio s tations, pl a ylist s, albums, tra cks by a par ticular ar tist, and so on .
13 you’re listening to on your comp uter to be a new So undBridg e Radio preset . Fourth, yo u can use iT unes to tune in to othe r stations, an d then play them back o n SoundBri dge Radio. ( Note : Y ou can use iT unes for ra dio tuning even if you nor mally use Windows Me dia Connect as yo ur music ser ver.
14 2. Y our available music libr aries will be disp la yed, in cluding the one named “ Internet Ra dio. ” Sele ct that libra ry and yo u will see a list of Inte rnet radio s tations. T hese are your Preset s, and they are pre -l oaded when yo ur SoundBri dge Radio is firs t set up.
15 Find Station U RLs Using Rok u Radio Snooper Roku Ra dio Snoope r is a free Wind ows application that e nables you to quick ly and easily discover the URL fo r your favorite Intern et radio st atio.
16 3. Drag an d drop the statio ns you like into the “Ra dioF avorites” pl a ylist . The result is an i T unes p laylist that contains your favor ite radio stati ons (see n ext imag e) .
17 4. Pla y this pla ylist on SoundBridge Radio . Connec t to your iT unes Music Librar y by choosing the “Chan ge Librar y or Configuration” o ption from your Ho me Menu and sel ect the name of your lib rar y . Once connec ted, sel ect “ Pla ylis ts.

33 If you p ress Play on an album track , that track will play, followed by each tra ck remaining on the album. For e xample, if you press Play on track # 5 on an album containing 1 0 track s, then track s # 5– #1 0 will play .

39 Search Opti ons T o search for a speci fic selec tion by spe lling it out, you can press th e Search [ ] button on your remote contro l, or navigate down to the “S earch” option from th e Home Menu . (Note : Unfor tunately , Rhapso dy and Musicmatch don’t supp ort searching o n SoundBrid ge Radio at this time.
40 SECTION 8 : P RESETS As discuss ed in previous chapter s, your Sound Bridge Radi o includes 1 8 Preset positions , which can store a v ariet y of selec tions for your quick and eas y recall. Y ou can s a ve just abo ut an y thing to Preset s that you can play on So undBridg e Radio.
41 Prese ts in a Universal Remote Cont rol Preset s c ommands ca n also be progr ammed into a univers al remote control. For more informatio n, see the “Progr amming a Universal Re mote C ontrol ” sec tion in the “ Advanced Features” chapter of this docum ent.
42 3. Select the UPnP In terface check box . 4. Click OK and then Next . The Configuring Win dow appears. 5. When th e c onfigurati on is completed , click Finis h . 6. Na vigate t o My Net work Plac es and double - click the SoundBri dge Radio icon.
43 2. In Saf ari, be sure you have your b ookmark lis t showing. If it is not sh owing, go to the Boo kmark menu and se lect Show All B ookmark s. 3. Click on the B onjour optio n in the book mark list to reveal your Sou ndBridge R adio. If more than one de vice is connected, they will be named SoundBridge Radio, SoundBridge Radio (2 ), and so on .
44 Presets On this pa ge, you can : - Re -name a Preset by t ypin g a new name into the web form . - Reo rder the sele ctions in th e list by clicking an d dragging the “ Move” but ton nex t to the sel ectio n you would like to move.
45 - Play back the se lecti on by pressing the “Play ” but ton nex t to the sele ction . (If yo ur Sound Bridge Radio is in Stan dby mode when you p ress P lay , it will powe r up and star t playing. ) - Enter a stream URL fo r an Internet radi o station f rom an exte rnal source.
46 Y ou may wish to use fewer than the 1 8 available Prese t slots. If yo u want to leave a slot empt y , ensure that the menu b elow the “Name ” label reads “ URL ” , and then ensure that both the nam e and loc ation boxes are empt y . When you save changes , the Preset will be marke d as empty.

48 SEC TION 1 0 : AL ARM CLOCK Introduction Y ou can set your al arm to play any preset or to a vari ety of alar m tones. The S oundBrid ge Radio alarm is designed to awak en you gradually , star ting out softly and gr adually ramping up in volume. Y ou can adjus t the final volume level reach ed by the alarm.

52 Memorize radio playlist (iT unes only) This opti on is for an iT unes ser ver and allows you to create a p laylist of up to 1 8 Internet r adio stati ons and then memo rize this radio playlis t directly into yo ur SoundBri dge Radio. Se e the Interne t Radio chapter for more info rmation.
