English 1 English Indications for use The VPAP ST is indica ted to provide noninvas ive ventilation for pa tients weighing more than 13 kg or more than 30 kg in iVAPS mode with respirat ory insufficiency or ob structive sleep ap noea (OSA). The VPAP ST is intended for home a nd hospital u se.
2 Setup Refer to i llustration A. 1. Connect the DC pl ug of the power supply unit to the rear of the de vice. 2. Connect t he power cord to the power supply uni t. 3. Plug the othe r end of the po wer cord into the power outl et. 4. Connect o ne end of the air tubin g firmly onto the air outlet.
English 3 Notes: If your cli nician has enabled Sma rtStart your device wil l start automatically wh en you breathe into the mask and stop autom atically when you remove the mask. If power is i nterrupted during tre atment, the device aut omatically restarts t herapy when power is restor ed.
4 SD card An SD card ha s been supplied to ga ther therapy data from your device and provi de settings updates from your clini cian. When instructe d to do so, disconnect the device from th e power outlet, remove your SD card, i nsert it in the prot ective folder and s end it to your clinicia n.
