Please read all of the instructions before be gi nning the installation. Installation Requirements This unit is designed for in stallation in vehicles with an existing radio opening .
AVDINPC 4 INSTALLATION The unit has threade d holes in the chassis side panels which may be used with the original factory mounting brac kets of some T oyot a, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Hyund ai and Honda ve hicles to mount the computer to the dashboard.

AVDINPC 6 Replacing the Fuse When replacing a fuse, be sure to use the corre ct type and amperage to avoid damaging the computer . The A VDINPC uses one 5 amp A T O fuse. Reconnecting the Battery When wiring is complete, reconnect the battery negative terminal.
AVDINPC 7 FR ONT PANEL OPERATION 1. POWER: Press to power the unit on/of f. 2. SEL: Press to “Enter”. 3. VOL +: Raise the volume level. 4. VOL -: Lower the volume level. 5. MUTE: Silence the system volume. 6. S.T AB: This button functions lik e the keyboard [Shift]+[T AB] key .
AVDINPC 8 REMOTE CONTROL OPER ATION The RSC (Remote Stick Contro ller) allows you to control the mouse pointer in 16 directions using the joystick control.
AVDINPC 9 1 Press this button to change the current media to My Music. 2 Press this button to change the current media to My Movie. 3 Press this button to change the current media to My Photo. 4 Press this button to change the current media to My DVD.
AVDINPC 10 S pace/ Select This button functions like the keyboard [S pace] key . Press this button to add or remove the media file in the current playlist in Media Folder/ File View . This will not delete the media file, but will just exclude the file from the playlist.
AVDINPC 11 VOL + Press this button to increase the PC system volume. Play Press this button to execute the “Play” command in various media applications. Press this button to execute the “Play” command. Use the Enter button to play the media file in the media preview .
AVDINPC 12 USING THE MULTI-MEDIAN SOFTWA RE Multi-Median is designed to help yo u enjoy music, movie and photo media files and allows you control your multim edia devices (DVD player , television, digital camcode r or digital camera) usin g only the remo te controller .
AVDINPC 13 The icons in T able 2 indicate the status of the media fo lde r . Media Fi le View While in “Media Fo lder View”, press Enter to view the contents of that folder in “Media File View”. Select a media file to view informatio n about that file in “Media Preview”.
AVDINPC 14 Media Preview Media Preview shows the title, sequen ce number in the playlist, current playing ti me, and the prev iew screen for the selected me dia file. Full Screen V iew Full Screen View exp ands the current video or image file to fit the entire screen.
AVDINPC 15 Movie Use the Movie menu option to change the backgroun d image of the Movie view or to modify the brightness, contrast, saturation and hue.
AVDINPC 16 USING THE IMON REMOTE MANAGER The Remote Manager group of programs allo ws you to control various Windows system commands using your r emote control. Y ou can run the screensaver directly , turn of f the m onitor , set timers, en ter keyboard characters and perform other useful commands using your remote control.
AVDINPC 17 Monitor Resoluti on Changer iMON Monitor Resolution Changer al lows you to change your monitor resolution usin g th e re mo te con tr ol. NOTE: Y ou need to assign the “All-time Control” function to a but ton on the remote (see “Pro gram Command Setting” on page 18).
AVDINPC 18 Use the remote control joys tick to sele ct char acters. For bu ttons with multiple characters, press in on the joystick to select the second or third op tions. Press the arrow keys to move to the next or previous field. When fin ished, press the OK button to return the input cha racter s to the application.

AVDINPC 21 L.I.S . 2 CONTROL CENTER All functions of L.I.S can be managed e asily from the Control Ce nter . By default, the L.I.S. Control Center will run auto matically when the computer is turned on . Because the pr ogram has so ma ny features, pl ease review the instructions carefully .
AVDINPC 22 Navigating the Control Center T o see the extracted menu, hove r the mouse pointer over the control center icon, located on the t ask bar , and right-click. The “Lost in S pace” menu (Figure 19) appears. • About: View pr ogram version in formation.
AVDINPC 23 Auto User Use this feature to order items accord ing to priority , control each disp lay interval per second, and modify the in form ation that appears in the Control Center window . T o add a new item: 1. Click the Add button. A new “untitled” item appears at the bottom of the list.
