RCA easyRip™ Media Sof tware, lets you import music files from CDs and other sources , organize your music library, and transfer unpr otected MP3 and WMA files to and from this play er .
10 Installing the batter y in the player 1. Apply thumb pressure to slide the batt er y compartment cover in the direction of the arrow , then remove the cover . 2. Inser t the supplied AAA battery, f ollowing the polarity marks in the battery compar tment.
Connecting to the computer • Rotate the USB plug out of the player body and connect the play er to your PC as shown. • The player will turn on automatically and displa y "USB connected" on the display .
12 Before y ou begin using your RCA Player , you ’ll want to copy your music to the pla yer . Y ou can use any of the following methods to transf er content: • RCA easyRip • Drag and drop files .
13 Deleting files from the play er Y ou may delete any files transf erred to the player . 1. Connect the player to y our computer . 2. Open the player in Windows Explorer and then navigate t o the folder containing the files. 3. Select the files you want to remove and then pr ess the Delete key on the keyboard of your PC.
14 General controls T urning the player on and off T urn player on/off: Slide and hold the Pow er/Lock Slider ( / ) away from the headphone jack. Locking the player contr ols Lock play er controls: Slide the P ower/Lock Slider ( / ) toward the headphone jack.
15 Using the menus Menu types The player has two menu types: Player menu The player menu appears when y ou turn on the player or if you pr ess and hold while listening to the player .
16 The Home menu The top-level or “Home ” menu is always display ed when you press and hold . The menu options are: Now Playing Available only during pla yback. Press or to return to the curr ently playing file. Music Press or to enter the Music menu and choose an artist, album or genre.
17 Music Music playback contr ols Skips to the previous file*; press and hold to scan backward Skips to the next file, press and hold to scan forward Starts/pauses playback Shows/ hides the Option menu Increases or decreases the volume during playback + or – Playing music files The player sorts your music files by artist, album and genre.
18 Option menu (navigating music files) Press when na vigating through music files to show the Option menu. P ress + or – to highlight an option and then press to confirm the selection or change the setting.

20 Skipping through audiobook sections If the currently playing audiobook contains sections, you can choose to skip forward and back between sections when you press or , instead of skipping between files. T o choose section-by-section skipping: 1. Press to display the Option menu.
21 Fa v o r i t e s Creating a "F avorites" pla ylist Y ou can create a playlist of your fa vorite music by adding new files to the pla ylist as you listen to them. This function is not available for other media f ormats such as audiobooks and recordings.
22 Changing the play er ’ s settings T o change the player settings: 1. Press and hold to display the Home menu. 2. Press + or – t o select Settings and press or to enter the settings menu. 3. Press + or – t o select a setting and then press to change it.
