Pr ogramming the Remote to Operate Other Devices The universal remote can be programmed to operate many brands of remote- controllable VCRs, audio devices, DVD players, cable boxes, satellite receivers and other devices.

At this time the remote control is searching for the correct code to program, so keep pointing it at the device.

48 Chapter 4 Using the TV’ s Menu System Ti p s A shortcut method to access a menu item is to press the number button on the remote that matches the number next to the on-screen menu. For example, in the Main Menu, press 2 to go straight to the Audio menu.
