12 12 Getting star ted Dear RCA customer , Thank you for pur chasing the RCA Small W onder Camcorder . This product will let you recor d videos with high definition quality. Y ou can also manage your recor dings on your computer with the RCA Memory Manager included with this product.
13 13 3. Charging the batt er y • Please charge the battery for at least 3 hours before first use . • The battery can also be charged by connecting to a PC with a USB cable.
14 4. Inser ting SD memor y card • A SD memory card (not included) is recommended for recor ding. Lift up the cover Push the card in until a click is heard • The card icon ( ) appears on the screen with memory card inserted. • T o remove card , push card in until a click is heard , then slowly release the card.
15 6. T urning on the camcorder • Open the L CD screen and press the pow er switch until the camcorder turns on. Press and hold • "Ready" shows on the L CD screen when the camcorder is ready for r ecording.

18 Adjusting the length of the hand strap 1. Separate the Velcro . 2. Release the strap from the V elcro hook side. 3. Pull the strap to the right to shorten the length of the hand strap or to the left to extend the length of the hand strap. 4. Press the strap back on the Velcro hook side and press the Velcr o loop side on it.
19 Switch on Operation modes There are two basic modes f or operating the camcorder: Pr eview and Playback. The camcorder will always enter into Pr eview mode after switched on. Refer to the diagram belo w for switching between modes and read relevant sections in the user manual for detailed operations.
20 Recording quality • Slide the Video Quality selector to select the recording quality . The selected setting (HD , Spor ts or W ebQ) appears on the display screen during rec ording. Recording videos Light conditions can greatly aff ect the quality of your videos.

23 T o take photos 1. In Preview mode, pr ess PHOT O to take photos. • The resolution of the photos is 12.0 mega pix el which is interpolated from 5 mega pix el sensor for EZ5100. The resolution of the photos is 8.0 mega pix el which is interpolated from 5 mega pix el sensor for EZ5000.
