10 4. T urning on the camcorder • Press and hold MENU/ until the camc order turns on. • "Ready" shows on the L CD screen when the camcorder is ready for r ecording. 14 Switch on Operation modes There are two basic modes f or operating the camcorder: Pr eview and Playback. The camcorder will always enter into Pr eview mode after switched on. Refer to the diagram belo w for switching between modes and read relevant sections in the user manual for detailed operations.
15 Recording quality 1. Press MENU / to show the camcorder menu . 2. Press + or - t o select V ideo Quality. 3. Press to enter and pr ess + or – to select from HD , Spor ts and W ebQ. 4. Press to exit the current menu option. 5. Press MENU / to save settings and exit the camcorder menu.
16 Recording videos 1. In Pr eview mode, press the r ed RECORD button t o begin recording . Elapsed time Video recor ding indicator • While recording , the red recor ding light on the camcorder front turns on. 2. Press PLA Y/P AUSE to pause a recor ding.
17 T o take photos 1. In Preview mode, pr ess P H OTO to take photos. • The resolution of the photos is 12.0 mega pix el which is interpolated from 5 mega pix el sensor . 2. After taking photos, wait f or few seconds timeout to r eturn to Preview mode .
