The Hob When y ou cook on a ceramic hob its v e r y important to use the right sor t of pans... Use only pans that are suitable f or ceramic hobs. W e recommend stainless steel and enamelled steel pans because pots and pans with copper or aluminium bases leave trac es on the hob that are difficult to r emove .
Never cook dir ectly on the sur face. The kind of pan you use and the quantity of food affects the setting required . Higher settings are required f or larger quantities of food. Naturally , the sur face must be washed after use in order to pr event it from bec oming scratched or dirt y .

The Clock Y ou can use the timer to turn the left hand Main O ven on and off . T he clock must be set to the time of day before the right hand fan o ven will work. Pr ess and hold as above .
If you are out, don ’t worry about the beeper going off , it stops af ter a while. When you r eturn, TURN THE OVEN KNOB TO 0 (off ) FIRST , then press twice, to return to manual cooking.
Whole poultr y must be thoroughly defr osted before placing in the oven. Check that meat and poultry are fully cooked before serving. .
This function operates the fan and the heating element around it. An even hea t is produced thr oughout the oven, allowing you to c ook large amounts quickly . F an oven cooking is par ticularly suitable for baking on three shelves at one time and is a good ‘ all-round’ func tion.
Main O ven shelv es the shelf guard should be at the back pointing upw ards As well as the flat shelf some models ar e supplied with a drop shelf . The drop shelf incr eases the possibilities for ov en shelf spacing. The ov en shelves can be easily remov ed and refitted .
O ven ligh t Pr ess the button to turn on the oven ligh t. If the Main oven light fails, turn off the pow er supply before y ou change the bulb.
The oven c ontrol settings and cooking times given in the table opposite are intended to be used only as a guide. Individual tastes may require the temperatur e to be altered to pro vide a preferred result. F ood is cooked at lo wer temperatur e in a fan oven than in a c onventional ov en.

Cleaning y our cooker Essential information Before thor ough cleaning isolate the electricity supply . Remember to switch on the electr icity supply before use . Never use paint solvents , washing soda, c austic cleaners, biologic al powders, bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt.
Lift the grill pan clear of the suppor t frame. The suppor t frame is held to the side rails b y two clips on each side. F or each side, support the side rail with one hand and with the other hand lift the frame up and out of the side clips. F or safety , push the side rails back into the grill chamber .
carefully refit the out er door panel and replace the side fixing screws . The Main oven has panels which ha ve been coated with a special enamel that partly cleans itself. This does not stop all marks on the lining, but helps to reduce the amount of manual cleaning needed .

General Safety Instruc tions The cooker must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordanc e with the installation instructions. It should be ser viced by a qualified service engineer and only approv ed spare parts used. Have the installer show you the location of the c ooker control switch.
F oods for frying should be as dr y as possible. F rost on froz en foods or moisture on fr esh foods can cause hot fat to bubble up and ov er the sides of the pan. Carefully wa tch for spills or ov erheating of foods when fr ying at high or medium high temperatur es.

The diagrams below sho w the minimum recommended distance from the cooker t o nearby sur faces. The cooker should not be placed on a base . The hotplate surround should be lev el with, or above , any adjacent w ork sur face.
The cooker is very heavy . T ake great care . W e recommend two people manoeuvr e the cooker . Ensure that the floor co vering is firmly fixed, or r emoved to prev ent it being disturbed when moving the cooker around.
1. Place the cooker in its int ended position and level the cooker . 2. Draw a pencil line 70mm from the fr ont edge of the levelling feet. 3. Mark the centre line for the br acket by measuring 550mm from the left hand side of the cooker . 4. Move the cooker f or ward .
Please check the aligment of the doors . The lef t hand Main oven has adjustible hinges The door bottom hinge can be adjusted t o alter the angle of the door .
