10 PREP ARATION INSTALLING BATTERIES You ne ed four AAA batte ries (no t suppli ed) to p rotect t he sys - tem’ s memory during a po wer fai lure. For the l onge st opera tion and best perform ance, we recommend al kal ine batter ies, such as Radio Shack Cat.

14 Connectin g to a T wo-Line Phone To rec ord inform ation about ca lls r eceive d on a two-l ine phone , you ca n connect two System 933 s using a t riplex ad apter s uch as Ca t. No. 279-402 (not supp lied). Each s ystem on l y records inf ormation about call s r e ceived on the line to which it is con- ne cted.

Plug one end of the s upplied l ine cord into th e syst em ’ s TO PHONE j ack a nd pl ug the c ord ’s other end into t he answer- ing mach i ne’ s jack.

Gen tly push the syst em dow n on the br acket t o secur e it. If you are placi ng the syst em on a desk, shelf, o r table, pul l out the st and on the back of the bra cket until it c licks.

When you subs cribe to this service, the tel ephone comp any sends t he caller ’s telepho ne number (an d name, if a v ai lable) and t he cal l ’s dat e and t i me betwe en the fi rst and s econd r i ng.

26 DELETING CALLS Deleti ng a Single Call 1. Repeat edly press (or ho ld down) either REVI EW key unt il you see th e c al l record you want to de let e. 2. Press DELE TE . The system del etes that rec or d a nd auto- mati cally renumber s t he remaini ng call records.
