9 6. Plug the cord’s other end into a modular phone li ne jack . 7. Align the keyhole slo ts wi t h the mounting sc rews and slide the base downward to secure it. 8. Press and lift out the hands et holder , rotate it 180 °, then snap it back i nto plac e so it holds the handset.

12 OPE R A TION MAKING AN D RECEIVING CALLS To make o r answer a call, lift the han d- set. Or, if the handset is away from the cr a dle , press TA LK . The BATT LOW indicator on the handset an d the IN USE ind icator on the ba s e light . To end a call , place the hand set on the cradle or press t he handset’ s TA L K button.
13 Notes: • The redial memory holds up to 32 digits, so you can redial long- distance as well as local num- bers. • The redial m e mory also holds pause entries. MEMORY DIALI NG You can store up to 10 numbers in memor y, th en dial a sto red number by pressing a one - d igit memory location number.
