2 Installation ● This appliance is heavy . Care should be taken when moving it. ● It is dangerous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this product in any way . ● All packing and transit bolts must be removed before use. 4 Y our New W asher -Dryer Y our new machine meets all moder n requirements for effective treatment of laundry with low water , ener gy and detergent consumption. 6 The Contr ol Panel Important! In order to save energy and to avoid too long drying times we suggest not to reduce the spin speed when you wash and dry automatically . 5 QUICK W ASH button By depressing this button on programmes A, B, C, D and H the wash time is reduced.
7 3 ON/OFF button By depressing this button the machine starts operating. When depressing it again, the machine stops. The push button is provided with a child-proof safety lock. Move the small slider placed in the middle of the button downwards to lock the button in the «off» position.
8 3. Measur e out the fabric softener If required, pour fabric softener into the compartment marked (the amount used must not exceed the “MAX” mark in the drawer). Close the drawer gently . 4. Select the r equir ed option(s) Depress SPIN REDUCTION and/or QUICK W ASH and/or RINSE HOLD button, if required.
9 6. Star t the machine Before starting up the machine check that: ● the appliance is plugged in ● the water supply tap is turned on ● the drain hose is correctly and securely positioned ● the door and the detergent dispenser drawer are closed.
10 W ASHING 2 KG OF MIXED F ABRICS A T 50°C Suppose you have 2 kg of mixed fabrics to wash. They are rather delicate fabrics and should not be washed at a high temperature. 1. Load the laundr y Open the door by pulling the catch outward. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible.
11 DR YING 2.5 KG OF COTTON Y ou have for example just machine-washed and spun at 1200 rpm 5 kg of laundry . They are cotton fabrics of medium weight which you want to iron as soon as they are dry . Switch off the machine. Then remove the laundry from the appliance and divide the items to obtain two loads of approx.
12 AUTODR YING 1.5 KG OF MIXED F ABRICS Y ou intend to wash and dry automatically 1.5 kg of mixed fabrics which have to be ironed. Proceed as follows: 1. Load the laundr y Open the door by pulling the catch outward. Load the items one at a time and close the door .
13 W ashing and Drying Hints Do NOT overload the machine. W eigh the laundry the first few times you use the appliance. The average weights of the most common items are listed below as a guide: 1000g .

18 W ash Car e Symbols W ash care labels inside garments recommend how to launder your clothes with the best results. The care labelling code is in line with care labelling used in the rest of Europe. The symbols used make it easy to select the correct programme on your washing machine.
19 Cleaning the dr a w er r ecess Having removed the drawer , use a small brush to clean the recess, ensuring that all washing powder residue is removed from the upper and lower part of the recess. Replace the drawer and run the rinse programme for a few minutes without any clothes in the drum.
20 The dangers of fr eezing If the machine is exposed to temperatures below 0°C, certain precautions should be taken. ● T urn off the water tap. ● Unscrew the inlet hose. ● Unhook the drain hose from the rear support and position the end of this hose and that of the inlet hose in a bowl.
21 Something Not W orking Certain problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversights, which can be solved easily without calling out an engineer .
22 Symptom The door will not open ● The programme is still running. ● The door lock has not yet released. ● There is water in tub. The door can not be opened if water is present in the tub. The machine makes an unusual noise ● The machine is fitted with a type of motor which makes an unusual noise compared with other traditional motors.

24 Installation Instructions T echnical Specifications It is dangerous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this product in any way . Care must be taken to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable.
25 Set the machine upright and remove the two remaining bolts from the back. Pull out the three plastic spacers from the holes into which the bolts were fitted. Plug the open holes with the plugs which you can find in the envelope containing the instruction booklet.
26 W ater inlet Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thread. Do not use previously used hoses for water connection. Installation should comply with local water authority and building regulations’ requirements. The appliance must be connected to a cold water supply .
27 2. Onto a sink outlet spigot. If the outlet spigot has not been used before, remove any blanking plug that may be in place. Push the drain hose onto the spigot and secure with a clip if required, ensure a loop is formed in the drain hose (see diagram) to prevent waste from the sink entering the washing machine.
28 Electrical connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED. The manufacturer declines any liability should this safety measure not be observed.

30 If the door has to be opened from left to right, invert the position of the plates (7), the magnet (4) and the plate (5) (Fig. B and E). Mount the countermagnet (6) and the hinges (1) as previously.
