9 Elite T ra veller Plus/Plus HD www .pridemobility .com II. SAFETY Perform the following inspections prior to using your T ravel Scooter: ! Check for proper tire inflation. Maintain but do not exceed the psi/bar/kPa air pressure rating indicated on each tire if equipped with pneumatic tyres.

If you must stop, start up again slowly and then accelerate cautiously . When driving down an incline, do so by setting the speed adjustment dial to the slowest setting and driving in the forward direction only .

This includes awareness of safety issues when taking prescribed or over-the-counter drugs or when the user has specific physical limitations.

18 www .pridemobility .com Elite T rav eller Plus/Plus HD III. YOUR TRA VEL SCOO TER Horn Button This button activates a warning horn. Y our Travel Scooter must be turned on for the horn to be op- erational. Do not hesitate to use the warning horn when doing so may prevent an accident.

YOUR TRA VEL SCOO TER Motor/T ransaxle Assembly The motor/transaxle assembly is an electromechani- cal unit that converts electrical energy from your Travel Scooter ’ s batteries into the controlled mechanical en- ergy that drives the T ravel Scooter ’ s wheels.

Replace if necessary . ! During the charging process, if the char ger LED’ s never indicate a full char ge, check the fuse located on the battery pack.

If you do not feel confident in your ability to perform the maintenance listed below , you may schedule inspection and maintenance at your authorized Pride Provider .
