If you must stop, start up again slowly , and then accelerate cautiously . When driving down an incline, do so by setting the speed adjustment button to the slowest setting and driving in the forward direction only .

Normal Driving Position When you approach an incline, it is best to lean forward. See figures 2 and 2A. This shifts the center of gravity of you and your Hurricane PMV toward the front of the Hurricane PMV for improved stability .

This infinitely adjustable tiller is where the following components are located: the key , key switch, 4-8 mph switch, and the tiller adjustment lever .

25 Hurricane PMV/RevK/Mar03 www .pridemobility .com VI . BA TTERIES AND CHARGING Y our Hurricane PMV uses two long-lasting, 12-volt, deep-cycle batteries that are sealed and maintenance free. They are recharged by an onboard 3-amp charging system designed for ease of use and convenience.

Batteries and Charging. n Is the manual freewheel lever in the drive (down) position? Never leave the manual freewheel lever pulled up unless you are manually pushing your Hurricane PMV .
30 www .pridemobility .com Hurricane PMV/RevK/Mar03 OPERA TING YOUR PMV Keep both hands on the tiller and your feet on the floorboard at all times while operating your PMV . This driving position gives you the most control over your vehicle. n Set the speed adjustment dial to your desired speed.
