If necessary, properly install an approved 3-pronged adapter to an el ectrical outlet having 2-pronged plug access.

Keep in mind that the maximum weight capacity includes the combined wei ght of the user and any accessories mounted to the power chair.

Do not attempt to negotiate o bstacles with the seat in a reclined position unless an at tendant is present to help stab ilize the chair.

Typically, the seat assembly includes the armrests , seatback, and seat base .

NOTE: Any nylon insert lock nut removed during the disassembly or adjustment of the power chair must be replaced with a new nylon insert lock nut.

COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS After becoming familiar with your power chair’s operation, you may find th e need to make some adjustments to increase your comfort, such as seat height, armrest angle, foot platform height and a ngle, and controller position.

Jazzy Select Series www.pridemobility.com 33 BATTERIES AND CHARGING Your power chair uses two l ong-lasting, 12-volt, deep-cycle batteries. Th ese batteries are seal ed and maintenance free. Since they are sealed, there is no need to check the electrolyte (fluid) le vel.
34 www.pridemobility.com Jazzy Select Series VI. BATTERIES AND CHARGING Battery Break-in To break in new batterie s for maximum efficiency: 1. Fully recharge any new battery prior to its initial us e. This brings the battery up to about 90% of its peak performance level.

38 www.pridemobility.com Jazzy Select Series All wheel bearings are prelubricated and seal ed. They require no s ubsequent lubrication. The body shroud has been sprayed with a clear sealant co ating. You can apply a light coat of car wax to help it retain its high-gloss appearance.

This helps en sure that your power chai r is functioning properly and helps prevent future complications.
