The ammeter , charger power cord, the main circuit breaker , the controller connector, and the char ger inhibit connector are all located on the electronics tray .

COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS After becoming familiar with your power chair ’ s operation, you may find the need to make some adjustments to increase your comfort, such as seat height and angle, armrest angle, foot platform height and angle, and the controller ’ s position.
22 www .pr idemobility .com Jazzy 1170 XL Plus V . COMFORT ADJUSTMENTS Manual Recline Seatback Adjustment If your power chair is equipped with a reclining seat, you can adjust the seatback angle with the seatback release lever . The lever is located on the right side of the seat base.

These batteries are sealed and maintenance free. Since they are sealed, there is no need to check the electrolyte (fluid) level.

Locking/Unlocking the VSI The VSI has a feature that enables you to lock your power chair to prevent unauthorized use. T o lock the VSI: 1. W ith the VSI switched on, press and hold the on/off key .
Jazzy 1170 XL Plus www .p ridemobility .com 33 VII. OPERA TION Charger Inhibit Connector This connects the VSI to the onboard battery charger . This connection provides an inhibit that disables the VSI when the battery charger is on. The charger inhibit connector is coded with colored dots.

This is a 10-segment illuminated display that indicates that the Remote Plus is powered on and also gives the status of the battery , the controller , and the power chair electrical system.

It contains keys that you will use to control your power chair . See figure 25. On/Off Key The on/off key toggles t he system power on and off.

OPERA TION Off-board Charger/Programming Socket Y ou may use an of f-board char ger to charge the power chair batteries through the 3-pin socket located on the front of the Europa. If you use an off-board charger , the char ger current should not exceed 8 amps.

Like any motorized vehicle, it requires routine maintenance checks. Y ou can perform some of these checks, but others require assistance from an authorized Pride Provider .
