6 THE BASIC MACHINES AUXILIAR Y HANDLE An Auxiliary Handle is supplied with this tool and can be mounted on either side of the gear housing. This handle should be used to give complete control of the machine. Assemble handle to machine as follows: 1. CAUTION: DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.

9 USING DISC SANDER 1. CAUTION: Secure work to pr event it from moving during the sanding operation. Friction between the sanding disc and work will try to spin work away from sander and may cause bodily injury . 2. CAUTION: W ear safety glasses and dust mask.
10 4. TO REMOVE: DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE, grasp edge of the buffing pad (or compounding pad) and “peel” away fr om back- up pad, engage spindle lock pin and rotate back-up pad counter clockwise to remove.
11 MAINTENANCE KEEP TOOL CLEAN Periodically blow out all air passages with compressed air . Remove buildup of grime resulting fr om working with green or sappy woods. All plastic parts should be cleaned with soft cloths. NOTE: Never use solvents to clean plastic parts.
