Chapter 1- Hardware Description 1-14 Repl acing the CPU (CNTL) Module The CPU module is the management system of the RMX 20 00. Use the following procedure to replace a CPU (CNTL) Module: 1 Ensure that power swi tch to th e RMX 2 000 is turned OFF (O).
Polycom RMX 2000 Hardware Guide 1-15 Re placing a Functional MPM Mo dule Use the following procedure to replace a faulty MPM Mo du le types F or H: 1 Ensure that power switch to th e RMX is turned OF F (O). 2 Unscrew the screws on the front panel o f the RMX that secure the MPM Modul e.

Use the follow ing procedure to replace a Power Supply: 1 Ensure that power swi tch to th e RMX 2 000 is turned OFF (O). 2 Unscrew the sc rews on the fron t panel of the RM X 2000 that secure the Power Supp ly.
Polycom RMX 2000 Hardware Guide 1-17 Replac ing th e Fan Drawer Three fans are mounted in the Fan Drawer, where the airflow i s from right to left. Shoul d one of these fans fail a s indicated by a Fan LED, you are required to replace the fan d rawer.
Chapter 1- Hardware Description 1-18 Re placing the RTM IP Boa r d The RTM IP board on the rear of th e RMX 2000 provides co nnectivity to all the MCU modules. Use the following procedure to replace the RTM IP board: 1 Ensure that power swi tch to th e RMX 2 000 is turned OFF (O).
