5 Caution Notes on discs: Do not play the discs that damaged or warped, including discs with cracks, scratches or part s missing; discs with burrs; poor quality discs. Route all cords so tha t they do not interfere w ith driving or w ith entering or exiting the car .
6 Preservation and Cleaning Warning Do not use any volatile agents such as gasoline or p aint thinners to clean the product. Never use any volatile materials to clean the product, because they may damage the surface of the pla yer . Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

16 Installation S teps Follow the steps below to install the battery . Step1: Pull the battery holder out from the remote control in the direction of the arrow . Step 2: Load a new battery properly with the (+) sided up. Step3: Insert the battery holder back into the original position.
17 z Always ensure that the DVD player , TV and any other electrical equipment to be connected with are switched off and unplugged from the power supply .
18 Connecting to External A V Source The player supports an A V signal input function. Use the audio/ video cable to connect the unit to an external A V signal source such as a DVD, VCR etc. After connecting, switch the DVD/A V IN to A V IN. NOTE: Noise may occur in speakers when ther e is an external audio signal input while playing a DVD disc.
19 Using the AC Adapter The player is supplied with an AC adapter for powering the u nit and charging the battery . Note: T urn pla yer's power off before unplug ging. Note: When us ing the adapter, the LCD screen will be brig hter than w ith the rechargeable batter y .
20 About Rechargeable Ba ttery Pack Y our portable DVD player comes with a lithium ion rechargeable battery that attaches to the rear of the DVD player . Charge the batter y fully before initial use. Charging time is normally about 5 hours. A fully charged battery delivers about 3 hours of use, but pla ying time varies from disc to disc.
21 Attaching the Battery Pack Refer to the following steps for attaching the Battery Pack: 1. Make sure the player is off and the AC or car adapter is disconnected. 2. Place the DVD player on a soft and smooth surface with the bo ttom of the unit facing up.
22 Detaching the Battery Pack If the DVD Player is not going to be used for long periods of time, the battery pack should first be fully charged and then detached. When t he DVD Player is turned OFF , the DVD Player is still consuming some power in ST ANDBY mode.
