2 WELCOME TO THE VIST A TM M22 UNIVERSAL MODULAR AMPLIFIER FROM PLANTRONICS ® The Vista M22 Univer sal Modular Amplifier adapts your tel ephone to a Plantronics headset and pro vides control of the sound thr ough your headset. The Vista M22 Amplifier has built- in sound conditioning and pr otection.

7 SETTING UP THE VIST A M22 INst aLLING tHe Ba tterIes Install the two AA batt eries in the Battery Compartment matching the + and – symbols inside the compartment. Install the Battery Co ver by sliding the cov er up into place. NOTE: Y ou will hear three “beeps” thr ough the headset when the batteries are l ow .
8 CONFIGurING tHe VIst a M22 tO YOur teLePHONe While w earing your headset, lift the handset fr om the tel ephone. If you do not hear a dial tone, the Vista M22 must be configur ed to be compatible with your tel ephone. 1. Pres s the Headset/ Handset Button down to show the gr een indicator .

Lift the handset fr om the telephone. Lis ten for a dial t one and dial. • T o r eceive a c all, lift the handset fr om the telephone and speak into your headset.
10 aDJustING tHe V OLuMe F Or CaLLs T o adjust your lis tening volume, r otate the Lis tening V olume Thumbwheel fr om 1 (quietest) to 9 (l oudest). T o adjust your speaking volume, r emove the Co ver fr om the Vista M22. 1. Use the Plastic Scr ewdriver to adjust the Speaking V olume Contr ol.
11 MutING a CaLL T o turn on the mute, pr ess the Mute Button t o show the gr een indicator . T o turn off the mute, pr ess the Mute Button again. MaKING aND reCeIVING CaLLs WItH tHe HaNDset T o turn off the headset, pr ess the Handset/Headset Button to show the black indicator .
12 usING tHe OPtIONaL aC POWer aD aPter (not supplied) Using the AC Pow er Adapter is r ecommended for uninterrupt ed operation. 1. Remove the batteries fr om the Battery Compartment. 2. Connect the AC Power Adapter to the AC P ower Adapter Jack on the Vista M22.
